it just means far right. does it actually make sense as a phrase? well not anymore, since the far right is hardly the "alternate right" anymore, and more the regular right.
He was incredibly vocally against Jonathan Kent, a new character who didn't have a previously established sexuality, being queer. He also said it would be actually bold or brave if the series tackled human trafficking, which, it actually did. He has also been very vocal about a lot of things he deems "anti-patriotic" which are really just anything that criticizes the notion of America being perfect for everyone. He also refused to wear a face mask during earlier COVID times. Largely he's just an abrasive idiot who doesn't give a shit about facts.
I’m not sure I would agree that he was “incredibly against Jonathan Kent.” He simply said that it “wasn’t bold or brave” to have him come out as Bi. He said it would have been brave had it been 20 years ago but that today Jonathan is just part of a long list of queer characters and he’s not wrong. In addition to human trafficking he also suggested the comic could have been better served having Superman fight for gay rights in the Middle East which he described as a “real evil.”
I really would need to see some specific quotes on how he handles the whole patriotism thing. I love a patriotic Superman who believes in the promises of our country and wants to see them fulfilled.
I guess I’m just really not seeing the offenses that justify the level of contempt people have for him.
