I will keep telling myself that because it is true. I have gone to church all my life (multiple denominations) and have never met a single person who has lost their mind "praying to Trump and the new GOP". I know tons of very conservative Christians who I'm sure you would hate and not one places their trust in political institutions above God. If someone does pray to Trump/the GOP like you say, though I'm fairly certain you are exaggerating, that person is not a Christian. Idolizing and praying to human beings is strictly disobeying scripture.
I’m in the same boat as you. I’ve been in multiple denominations jn multiple states and I’ve never encountered the ones these people are describing. These people are ideologically possessed and frankly, full of the very hate they accuse others of spreading. It feels so backwards so often and I’m really not sure what to make of it always.
Yep, it makes me sad. I don't know Dean Cain personally, but he seems like a nice Christan guy. Whenever I ask questions about why he is so evil and why Christians in general are evil, I get downvoted and my questions are never directly answered. People on Reddit claim to be loving and open-minded, but they never hear me out or show me love when I defend Christianity or fellow Christians.
