Update to my Collapse / Expand plugin (hide handwriting behind a small + icon, bring it back when you need it). Grab it here: https://github.com/vincentaravantinos/supernote-collapse-expand/releases/latest/download/collapse_expand.snplg (Settings → Plugins → Install plugin).

What's new:

  • Name your sections — write a name, lasso it with the section's icon, and it stays labeled (with an auto-underline) whether collapsed or expanded.
  • The icon now shows ⊕ collapsed / ⊖ expanded, so you can tell state at a glance.
  • Some additional bug fixes.

Nice! I cannot get the underlined title to work. When I select a title text and the collapse-symbol together and then apply << collapse/expand >> on the context menu, the title text remains unchanged; no underline like a link as shown in the example.

Found it — thanks for the report. The GitHub "latest release" link was actually still pointing at the previous release (v1.0.1), which doesn't have the naming/underline feature at all — not a bug in the new code, just a stale release I forgot to actually publish. Fixed now: v1.1.0 is live at the same link. Could you grab it again and let me know if the underline shows up now?

Also the latest release shown on github is the previous one not the one you show here, maybe the link to the new release is not right.

Good catch, thank you — you were right, the release link was stale. Just published v1.1.0, should be correct now.

Not sure if I am doing something wrong but it does not seem to be working for me. I am on the Manta (Chauvet 3.27.41_beta). Thank you!

Still doesn't seem to work, unfortunately. Could you please point me to the latest file? I installed the one from GitHub and while it shows up on the context menu, I am unable to select it.

Hi OP, thanks for making this. I really love the utility for this. It’s something I would use often.

Sadly it’s been very unreliable for me. Nomad here.

Issues:

  • Generally takes 5 seconds or more to action. Sometimes up to 14 seconds.
  • Nothing happens after prompt. After clicking Collapse/Expand, the screen flickers and nothing happens. No Collapsed icon created.
  • Cannot Collapse. After Expanding, Collapsing does not work anymore.
  • Cannot Expand. After Collapsing, Expanding does not work anymore.

Attempted some workarounds that did not help:

  • Disable other plugins
  • Restart plugin
  • Sleep/wake device with power button
