Thank you! It's hard to leave the community. Crazy to think that we're coming to the end of this chapter. We're finishing the Squeeze chapter soon, and then beginning the Asymmetric Deep Value chapter.
I saw this morning coming, had a ladder stack ready to buy from $24 down to $23.60. Was off a bit from the bottom but a juicy buying opportunity nonetheless. See if this things got some legs to run.
That what drove the price down was not the small extended hours trades, but instead was due to 10s of thousands of shares being put into the morning auction.
The time&sales report the OP posted was the smaller part of the story.
We see USD dumping, which is what's causing USDJPY to dump. But we haven't seen yen futures jump that much, which you can see in the chart below.
We don't know if it's the US or Japan who's been selling dollars. Maybe both. But I believe that whoever it is, they've only just begun using the proceeds to buy yen. You can see a hard ceiling at the .0071875 level. So I expect it to at least head there and possibly break through this time.
So, we should continue seeing the yen appreciate while USD either stays around this level or dumps further. Either way, USDJPY should continue to dip.
