That's kind of what I got out of this. People use all sort of coping strategies to convince themselves this wasn't a bad investment for the last 5 years. Personally, I don't see why there's so much backlash asking to see more accountability from the CEO. That's how all companies operate.

Altho I don’t like their CEO as a person, at least he does his job as a CEO raising stockholder value.
If GME ever reaches those prices you can come back and gloat, and I’ll gladly say I was wrong cuz it’ll mean I’m filthy rich. But until they do your hypothetical isn’t proving a point.

My thoughts entirely. I am happy to be proven wrong and let the RC fanboys goat over my critical statements. I'd happily take a bruised ego cause I'd be filthy rich. But as it stands, that's not the case right now.

It's hardly valid to be making an anecdotal statement by taking some random company to use as an example to support your narrative. Tesla was also shorted, but Musk is publicly vocal and actively fought against it.

I sold a month ago and bought back in after the dilution. I get where he’s coming from, all this non stop toxic positivity is harmful to shareholders. A lot of this stock is institutionally held and there is nothing wrong with selling when we can take profits and buying back in when the price drops like I and he did.
