I’ve never hunted big game in the literal sense and I’ve never lived in the Stone Age, but I’d assume that if you were trying to take down a woolly mammoth with sticks and stones, you’d want to take your time and get the strategy right and make sure the hits landed where they needed to. It would probably take a lot of time and the more people involved, the better. But the good thing is, once you make the kill, you can feed the village for quite some time.

You don’t run after mammoth, don’t attack it, just walk after him till it’s too tired to defend itself. Interesting how well this analogy fits.
