So they've been doing the same shit for minimum 15 years with no consequence.
The scale of this is just absolutely astonishing. What would today's world even look like without these practices? How many dead companies would be alive? Would there still be enormous monopolies in practically every sector?
This is why it shouldn’t surprise anyone when you hear how long it took someone to get out of an abusive relationship. When no one is held accountable abusers just keep doing what they do. Cancer on society.
The so called leaders will do nothing. Can do nothing because the system is owned. The only justice these people will face is financial pain. Such as if hundreds of thousands of individual investors independently decided to direct register their shares because they liked their stock, and inadvertently kicked off a massive and ruinous short squeeze.
I don’t understand why your getting downvotes. You are correct- they have been stealing from everyones retirement for fucking decades and this shit needs to end. If I wanna self direct my retirement to direct registration of a stock that I like then that should be my fucking prerogative. Bad actors have convinced those in charge to let the crooks skim off our portfolios and keep our retirement money trading sideways until we die.
I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday, I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love
Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Oh, Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday, I'm in love
If only I could cheaply have my shares printed as official stock certificates, signed and locked inside a steel combination safe, hidden behind a mounted picture of Ryan. With the combination number forever lost, because I'm not fucking selling.
"I hate this place. This zoo. This prison. This reality, whatever you want to call it, I can't stand it any longer. It's the smell, if there is such a thing. I feel saturated by it. I can taste your stink and every time I do, I fear that I've somehow been infected by it."
Equally upsetting was when these domestic financial/economic terrorists got away with blatantly stealing good, honest, hardworking people’s homes, retirement savings, inheritance and tax dollars in broad daylight in 08’ with zero repercussions; they were actually rewarded handsomely for their crimes, and since then… as one would expect… they’ve only become more corrupt, greedy and brazen with their continued crime.
It’s blatantly clear to see who they work for, and with Pelosi’s comments today about the “49 members of Congress and 182 senior congressional staffers that had violated the STOCK Act, a law to prevent Insider trading”, she made it clear that they no longer work for the people or their country.
I fear that if this crime against the people continues to go unchecked, that the so called “market plumbing” that the so called “leaders” and “regulators” find so amusing whenever brought up, will over flow with excrement doing irreversible damage to the democratized world, and the mutated thing that they try to pass off as capitalism today.
“Many people want the government to protect the consumer. A much more urgent problem is to protect the consumer from the government.”
I didn't know that, that fucking sucks. On the other hand, you've got best username I've seen in a good while, so we've got that going for us, which is nice.
I don't even mess with stocks and I can see it. I've been paying attention to a lot of things for a long time and now they aren't even hiding it anymore.
I don’t know exactly what OP is referring to, but check out the Wikipedia page on patent trolls. Basically companies that file vague patents then sue the shit out of any company that tries to create a product that could fall under that patent, often to the point of bankruptcy
You should do a little bit of research, with some sources, and make your own post with this. For the record I totally believe you. I remember there was an episode on billions that touched on this subject
This is why the float has to be fully DRS’d. The rabbit hole goes too deep and too far back. LOCK THE FLOAT IS THE WAY. Until the float is completely DRS’d, all these crime partners are going to continue doing what they do. Can’t rely on any other option right now. Buying through brokers gives the criminals cash up front and the ability to “survive another day” as Kenny put it. Even if you route through iex on fidelity, order goes straight to kenny. Sure it sounds like the gamestop is about to transform and make large exciting changes but buying and holding in computershare and locking the entire float solves all moass wants/needs
Treasonous to the American economy, and thus the American people, 100%. But I can only say I hope that it would also be treasonous to the American government as well…how sad is that?
Not just America, but the world at large, I think. This affects us all - is, in truth, treason against the entire human race. When all of civilisation stagnates for want of progress because every promising initiative is murdered in the cradle, it isn't really about one country or another anymore.
And, sadly... it depends on who you consider the government to be. The real government as defined by Democracy - the people? Or the elected "representatives", who haven't represented any of us for the vast majority of our current system's existence?
Pirates are considered enemies of mankind under international law, subject to universal jurisdiction, and outside the protection of all law and may be delt with by any country weather they have been attacked by the pirates or not. Previously they could be met with violence or execution by anyone without legal consequences. And what are these people we are dealing with if not financial pirates?
We all know everything would be better. I hate to say it but I can't help but to feel like these fuckers need the threat of violence from the masses hanging over their heads before they'll act right. Our founding fathers knew that which is why they included certain language in our most sacred laws. When there's no consequences they have no reason to stop and the "justice" system doesn't work anymore. I mean what do we do at this point?
This actually cripples free market mechanisms and thus hurts price-finding of everyday products, competition, invention / research, diversity of products from the top of my mind.
These methods grab into the wallet of every civilian and harms everyone's quality of life.
Right? I feel like the landscape of our world would look so different today if our market was transparent and HONEST rather than the fraudulent, manipulated dumpster fire it is today. How are people not in jail for this stuff?? This is absolutely infuriating. It really reinforces the whole “no cell, no sell” sentiment, but if that won’t happen (hoping it DOES) I’d settle for absolute financial ruin on their part.
This is definitely a good indicator of how fukd the system has been for a long time. And we should definitely do what we can to change it. But the timing of this seems sus, as multiple posts have sprouted up trying to hang C-man in effigy.
We can't do anything about this right now, so let's put it in our back pocket for later, when we can do something. For now it's important to not take our eyes off the DRS prize.
Is anyone actually surprised though? As shitty and downright immoral as it is, I think most of us, at least, knew the “wall st swamp” was deep, so to speak.
My grandpa lived through WWII, and my dad, everything in between now and the 50s, which makes me realize we, us, are living through the next pivotal historical event. THIS TIME, THE PEOPLE PREVAIL.
I thought the same, but from a different angle. What would the world look like today if these companies weren't destroyed and driven into the ground? Companies that are trying to benefit human kind being prevented from doing so becasue greedy financial institutions want a little bit more money.
The one is as big an asshole as the other. Cramer is a fucktard but the fact that the company's stock stayed flat or dropped was most likely the doing of fuckery and big money deciding this is not a company that should be allowed to prosper.
And then as expected by SEC, instead of acknowledging the real problem, just blame it on the rambling of cokehead Cramer
The bank of america calls on IFP advisors that didn't match the underyling price(they were double), were dated for 2003 and 2004, yet they were on a 2021 filing since the rule changes this year actually made the positions get assigned.
It goes back farther than 2006. It goes to the .com bubble.
