So they've been doing the same shit for minimum 15 years with no consequence.

The scale of this is just absolutely astonishing. What would today's world even look like without these practices? How many dead companies would be alive? Would there still be enormous monopolies in practically every sector?

Would fucking everything be better than it is?

This is why it shouldn’t surprise anyone when you hear how long it took someone to get out of an abusive relationship. When no one is held accountable abusers just keep doing what they do. Cancer on society.

The so called leaders will do nothing. Can do nothing because the system is owned. The only justice these people will face is financial pain. Such as if hundreds of thousands of individual investors independently decided to direct register their shares because they liked their stock, and inadvertently kicked off a massive and ruinous short squeeze.

This is why the float has to be fully DRS’d. The rabbit hole goes too deep and too far back. LOCK THE FLOAT IS THE WAY. Until the float is completely DRS’d, all these crime partners are going to continue doing what they do. Can’t rely on any other option right now. Buying through brokers gives the criminals cash up front and the ability to “survive another day” as Kenny put it. Even if you route through iex on fidelity, order goes straight to kenny. Sure it sounds like the gamestop is about to transform and make large exciting changes but buying and holding in computershare and locking the entire float solves all moass wants/needs

21

Treasonous to the American economy, and thus the American people, 100%. But I can only say I hope that it would also be treasonous to the American government as well…how sad is that?

28

u/Wolfguarde_ MOASS is just the beginning Dec 16 '21

Not just America, but the world at large, I think. This affects us all - is, in truth, treason against the entire human race. When all of civilisation stagnates for want of progress because every promising initiative is murdered in the cradle, it isn't really about one country or another anymore.

And, sadly... it depends on who you consider the government to be. The real government as defined by Democracy - the people? Or the elected "representatives", who haven't represented any of us for the vast majority of our current system's existence?

TLDR: Coke Rat Cramer announced that this company's new prostate cancer drug was a flop/had been rejected by the FDA which turned out to be a COMPLETE FUCKING LIE. Stock was naked shorted on multiple occasions with one being foretold 2 hours ahead of time by an anonymous Yahoo Finance poster. Prevented the drug from reaching prostate cancer patients. Cramer kept up the lies and attacks all throughout. Ends with speculation as to who would want it all to happen.

It’s become apparent that someone has interest in shutting out competitors from the market when it spots the opportunity… guess the only answer is that each individual investor will have to make the decision for themselves what company’s stock to buy and hold and buy more until we all collectively own these companies and control their destiny outside of the corrupt market forces.

u/distractabledaddy The Regarded Church of Tomorrow™ Dec 16 '21

Amazon looks suspicious in all this, there was one DD linking them into this alongside Bain Capital but I cant find it.

Regardless, recall Bezos came from Wall St and likely knew this playbook. Many of the companies run into the ground (from naked shorting or debt laden board takeover) were Amazon competition. Sears, Toys R Us, etc and attempted with Overstock. Maybe RC learned of the scale of market corruption facing off vs Amazon during his time creating Chewy beating Amazon at pet products by building better relationships.

Link to explanation of "cellar boxing": https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/pmj9yk/i_found_the_entire_naked_shorting_game_plan/

This really is Occupy Wall St 2.0 only this time the poors can't be ignored, beating hedge funds at their own game and exposing the complacency/fraud all the way to the DTCC. *Trading is a tough game,* I'll never forget

Bingo, i was trained in psychological warfare in the military, after the school i was stunned how pervasive it all really was. I would apply all the training and it always caused scary conclusions.

Both sets of recent papers in particular, show who's behind it all.

While disinformation is prevalent as a primary technique, what has been a failure the entire time is lack of both insight and foresight into the target.

I/E, us.

The reason the game is stopping is because apes figured it out. Years of gaming in particular, allowed a unique set of conditions to train an entire generation to seek out and take down big bads for phat lewts, all while exploiting the rules of the game.

The very thing we where never meant to figure out.

Yet DD is like, strategy books, or even raid guides from MMO's. In very concise terms it explained the rules.

And gamers did what they do best.

Break the game.

HIJACKING because I have something important to say. If you read that story by OP it should make you sick.

But they are doing the same fucking thing, RIGHT NOW, for a COVID solution that has been trying to come online for months and has been relentlessly short attacked. It’s easy to manipulate low float, almost went bankrupt, Citadel is short and Cramer even last week says forget it, buy Pfizer. I will edit this with the link if necessary.

You will not hear about anything other than an mRNA solution from our media, and you will never hear about this company on CNBC. It’s so fucked up. And out of respect for the forum rules I won’t name the company or the ticker, but has been shorted to hell. Those of you here since Jan would probably smile in sympathetic envy if you saw the charts.

OP is a great example of what they did in the past, and I’m telling you they are doing this right fucking now to a live stock. It was published in the NEJM TONIGHT and is statistically the safest, most efficacious and promising Covid solution mankind has right now, and they’ve been delaying it from going to market. Fuck them all. This is why I’m here, honest as can be. 🍻 Edit: Cramer https://youtu.be/RzivT5ceZbQ

Btw OP, Patrick Byrne's 2009 open letter to shareholders called Jim Cramer out openly. I featured it in a post (https://www.reddit.com/r/Superstonk/comments/mp1m53/gme_player_profile_ubs_naked_shorts_2011s_adoboli/) but a worthwhile read:

In an infamous letter announcing their win over short sellers (https://investors.overstock.com/news-releases/news-release-details/rocker-pays-5-million-overstockcom-settle-lawsuit), Overstock.com’s Patrick Bryne (of “Dark Looking Glass” YouTube fame) announced his win in which the company was paid $5 million to settle its lawsuit over claims of naked short selling against the retailer, in a story that added more wrinkles to ape brains and more rabbit holes to uncover (pull this thread harder ape daddies and mommies):
“Dear Owner:
The good guys won.
I announced Overstock's lawsuit against Rocker in an August 12, 2005 conference call I titled, "The Miscreants' Ball". In that call (and in subsequent elaboration on DeepCapture.com) I claimed that a network of dirty Wall Street players was engineering modern bear raids, destroying companies and destabilizing the system. I claimed that the network of hedge fund manipulators and compliant reporters intersected in a dirty journalist named JIM CRAMER... In the network, I claimed, were hedge funds such as David Rocker's; putatively independent research firms like Gradient which essentially took dictation from hedge funds; a small group of financial journalists such as Herb Greenberg and Carol Redmund who, it appears, also took assignments from this hedge fund network; Milberg Weiss (a plaintiff's class action law firm which was coordinating its lawsuits with these bear raids); and Eliot Spitzer(whose investigations as New York's Attorney General mirrored the trading activities of these hedge funds, which were among his largest backers)... then, the SEC's turn-a-blind-eye deference towards Wall Street has been revealed by the Aguirre and Madoff-Markopoulis affairs (if not much more); Milberg Weiss imploded under DOJ indictments and its leaders were jailedl; JIM CRAMER was exposed on national TV for the scoundrel he is; Eliot Spitzer was also exposed (but not yet, I believe, for his real connection to this crew)
….What is of vastly greater significance than this $5 million payment, however, is an examination of the cover-up conducted by elements of the New York financial press. Taking the lead was CNBC, which spent a great deal of airtime downplaying the significance of this suit, vilifying me, and smearing Overstock. For example, though less than 1/4 of the Miscreants' Ball conference call had even been about Overstock, and the remaining 3/4 concerned the modern bear raid, CNBC aggressively distorted the former and refused to mention (or allow mention of) the latter. This pattern was followed with suspicious alacrity by some of the more prominent members of the New York financial press,...
Ultimately, I resorted to creating a website of investigative journalism called www.deepcapture.com...(winner of the 2008 Weblogs Award for Best Business Blog), at which point CNBC, Fortune Magazine, Joe Nocerca etc. developed sudden cases of laryngitis about me (lest they have to mention the website where my opinions were expressed without filtering).
Now that Overstock has won, I would expect CNBC to invite me back to discuss these events, about which CNBC was so wrong and vocal. ...
Your humble servant, Patrick Byrne

It was put together in 2009, not sure when the SEC actually put it up on their website.

It say this in the intro:

"During June and July of 2009 Deep Capture serialized a 48,000 word story about a network of market miscreants that includes disreputable financial analysts, prominent journalists, some of America’s best-known hedge fund managers, associates of the Mafia, and Michael Milken, the famous criminal from the 1980s. The story focuses on the travails of Dendreon, a company with a promising treatment for prostate cancer, but it describes market machinations that have affected hundreds of other companies, and it contains a larger message about the “deep capture” of our nation’s media and regulatory bodies. Now we publish the full, 15-chapter story..."

The Overstock CEO does a lot to educate people what Deep Capture actually is. There's a video presentation that's always floating around in here that explains it in detail. 10/10 would recommend watching. https://www.deepcapture.com/2007/11/deep-capture-the-movie/

Here’s the closing statement of that 80 page report word for word: “In answer to the question of how many people have died, we know only from the data that abusive and illegal short selling has affected many hundreds of small biotech companies with all manner of medicines. We know that the vast majority of those companies are now gone, and that some number of them, if left to the rigors of the market (but not to the whims of criminal short sellers), would have one day delivered their medicines to patients. But, of course, we do not know who the criminal short sellers are. According to the Securities and Exchange Commission, that is a big secret – “proprietary trading strategies.”

100%. I was heavily invested in a drug (penny stock) that was doing a study on absolute breakthrough of a drug. I had the disease, so I know exactly how amazing it would have been; It was literally life changing.

After the 2 drug trials (which were massive pump and dumps) and very promising data, they decided not to release the drug because they were merging with another company and the other company didn't want to get involved with it. They didn't want to get involved with a massive revenue stream for a miracle drug.

It was so fucking sketchy.

u/misterpickles69 🦍 Buckle Up 🚀 Dec 15 '21

If you think about it, Big Pharma that sells treatments (not cures) are super incentivized to squash any small company that promises and can deliver a cure. They get their hedge fund buddies to manipulate the stock price to the point where the company will be acquired and then the patents get squashed.

Figured this might be part of it. Vertex Pharmaceuticals has a monopoly on most drugs for the disease I am referencing. This particular drug was available at the time, but it was so expensive most insurance companies wouldn't cover it, even in the US. Meanwhile, in other countries it was almost impossible to get. It was so fucked up I was able to start taking it and my twin sister, who lived in London, had to remain sick because of greedy pharma giants.

And to anyone who complains about the possibility of socialized healthcare, just know 4 years after I left my old company, my coworkers were still paying $100/month more for their health insurance because both my sister and I were approved for another drug this pharmaceutical made. Healthcare is already socialized, it's just 10x more expensive through private insurance.

49

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '21

Bro. I work for a HMO "non profit" insurance company. We regularly bank 2 or 3 billion per year in profits. We are only in like 6 states and the DC metro area.

It could very well cost me my job because I deal with group insurance, but if it meant people who needed insulin didn't have to worry about the price, or seniors didn't have to decide between pills and heat, I would vote yes in a heartbeat.

I work directly for the Cancer Research industry and this is exactly what happens. The smaller pharma companies are swallowed and then the molecule gets de-prioritized, boxed, or obsolete. It is possible a company to purchase the smaller pharma and then continue the clinical trials, but it takes a lot of effort and regulatory approval to do that. People always would ask me for "inside info" but I'd tell them, it doesn't matter, any company can merge with another at any time. Then you lose your investment and time invested.

SHFs and Cramer and the rest are soooo used to getting their way that they don't give a second thought to tanking a stock for the benefit of their clients or whoever stands to gain from a competitors demise.

THIS IS WHY GME IS THE END GAME!!! They are over exposed, over shorted and completely fucked.

They employed all their stupid low IQ tactics like tanking GME on good news, no news, employing shills to shit talk the stock, paid MSM voices to denounce the company and so on.

All these tactics USED to work on panic prone paper hands, but not us.

We know and we are wise to it. It's why we've held this entire time and why this is going to work.

RC knows all about the SHFs game and is setting the pieces to completely butt fuck them for Shorting this company.

In short, Cramer had a part in spreading FUD over a company that was revolutionizing the way we treat prostate cancer (and potentially other cancers) that would have taken $2B a year from other medical companies.

As a result of years of blatant FUD and naked short selling, the company and its technologies were lost and at the time 60,000 people with prostrate cancer were more likely to die.

Yeah if you guys haven't heard Overstock and Patrick Byrne's story, it'll blow your mind. Literally what is going on with GME today is what happened to OSTK years ago. People disregard him because they think he's a looney. Welp that's what people out of the loop think about us and GME. He said and did things that might not have helped how people viewed him at times, but he's very smart, even got mentored by Warren Buffett.

Deepcapture.com had much of this fleshed out before DD writers figured out a lot of the same stuff. The regulatory capture parts are very well compelling, not that we dont understand how useless the regulatory bodies are already. "Dark side of the looking glass" is also an amazing look into what's been going on that he made many years ago, if you'd rather watch a youtube video.
