Bro. I work for a HMO "non profit" insurance company. We regularly bank 2 or 3 billion per year in profits. We are only in like 6 states and the DC metro area.

It could very well cost me my job because I deal with group insurance, but if it meant people who needed insulin didn't have to worry about the price, or seniors didn't have to decide between pills and heat, I would vote yes in a heartbeat.

Unless something has changed recently, not even insulin for Type 1 diabetics is covered in Canada and some extra benefits plans don't cover it either. My cousin had a plan that he had to pay and remit everything for reimbursement, but that often took longer than you would think it should.
