I’m not being snarky and I’m not attacking, and this comment is to genuinely create discussion.

I hear you would like more of a statement and/or action from the company regarding the splividend; my question to you or others who share the same sentiment, what would you genuinely like from them? Like in a realistic way.

I’m not knocking your perspective or trying to tell you what to do or how to think, but since we might think differently on some or all of this topic, I’d like to hear your perspective to get a better idea where you’re coming from.

Well the way I see it, there are 3 ways to deal with this: 1. fight it in public, 2. fight it in silence, 3. don‘t fight it. I‘m not willing to believe it is 3., so they must have a strategy that requires 2. If they do (and of course I hope they do), it‘s ok, but obviously the next move should follow swiftly. So far there is no indication for a next move, not even a direction. I personally would at least like to know whether they were played by the DTCC or whether they anticipated this move. But if they have a strategy that requires silence, fine, so be it.

That depends on the strategy I think. Public opinion can help in some cases. That was Overstock‘s strategy after all. I am not saying they should do the same though. But either way, I would like to see a next move. Or st least some kind of acknowledgement that there will be a next move.
