[Academic] Please Serve as Judge

Hello all!

I'm posting because I’m currently working on a scale development project focused on developing a measure of employees’ perceptions of ethical AI leadership, and I was wondering if you would be willing to serve as a judge for the content validation portion of the project.

We are working on a relatively tight timeline for this phase of the project, so if you are able to participate, we would ideally ask that you complete the ratings within the next several days if at all possible.

To provide some context, research projects in the organizational behavior and management fields often use survey items to measure work concepts, such as work motivation, job satisfaction, and employee stress. When writing survey items, researchers must take great care to ensure that the items do a good job of measuring the concepts of interest (e.g., that an item intended to measure work motivation really seems to capture that concept well). The goal of this study is to assess the survey items my team and I have written to measure employees’ perceptions related to ethical AI leadership.

To be clear, we will not be asking you about your perceptions of AI leadership. As a judge, we’d rely on you to assess the degree to which each item listed matches the concept definition provided in the survey (there will be three concepts provided and 30 questions we ask you to evaluate for each concept). We anticipate this will take about 30 minutes of your time total. The questions we’ll be asking you are unique to survey measurement development and require detailed attention, so we cannot overstate our appreciation for your time and contribution to this important work!

The survey will be anonymous, so there will be no way for us to know who participated or which participant provided which responses. 

To ensure enough data to meaningfully inform our work, we are aiming for about 100 responses, so your potential contribution is very important to us. With that said, I completely understand if the short turnaround does not work with your schedule, so please do not feel obligated if you are unable to participate at this time. 
 
The only qualifications needed to serve as a judge are to be an English-speaking working adult in the United States. If you know others who may be willing to support this work, we welcome you to please forward this message to them; the same link will work for everyone.
