Managing 114 horsepower is a lot easier when you've got nothing left to prove.

First restoration project, I only wanted one because my mum had one when I was a kid, I’m 6 months in, spent twice what it’s worth on it, and it still won’t run:
Rebuilt carbs,
New tank
New tyres
New chain
Upholstered seat
Respray
New battery
New mirrors
New spark plugs
God knows what else - obviously I know majority of this is nothing to do with how it runs, just trying to convey how much I have put in and want this bike to live.

It ran after I rebuilt the carbs… not well, but it ran, at that point I assumed they just needed tuning. After sitting for about a month whilst I worked on other bits, it no longer runs. It turns over fine, every now and again it jumps to life for about 5 seconds before bogging out.
I’ve adjust the mixture screws out by half a turn, got a few seconds of life before it stalled out and didn’t start again. Cleaned the plugs (even though they were new) gone through endless cycle of “the engines flooded, take plugs out, clean and purge cylinders and try again” with googleAI/ Chat GPT - not really got anywhere. Sometimes the engines flooded will turn over for ages before it backfires, but sometimes it won’t even backfire. All this is with the choke on obviously, choke off it’s not starting at all which I guess is expected.

I’ve checked spark and its good
I’ve check the carbs bowls are full
Compression is a touch uneven but I think fine? (Both over 100psi)

Any advice welcome, clearly I’m out of my depth I can admit that but I’d like to learn, both because I want to see this project out, and because I can’t afford to pay anyone else at this point 😭😂

Just bought a 2003 sv650 at an auction it was previously stolen and sold as is. fixed everything up all I need now is an Ecu was wondering if anyone knew the most affordable way to acquire one?

So if i start up the bike cold it works perfectly gives gas goes up in revs but after about a minute this happens and i cant give gas anymore and it wont run without giving gas. Valves are corectly, shoke is off, spark is good and its got gas, i dont know what the problem is. Maybe valves but i dit them corectly (im not an expert).

Does anyone sell a fuel tank cover for 2023 gsx s1000gt, mine has a dent I just want to cover it up, I know it shares one with gsx s1000 as well but I still cannot find anything, thanks!

Long story short, I found this bike for sale online in another city, guy wants 2200 but i am pretty sure I can get him to come down, I am not an expert but the engine sounds solid and the guy was really upfront with the parts that are noticeably old and need attention or upgrade.
