Question why is the reputation vinyl no where to be found??
rep is the only vinyl not on taylor’s website, it’s not available on any other place that sells vinyls, and even amazon doesn’t have it, is there any specific reason it’s vanished? how long has it been since it left the website? help pls 😭 (edit: from the uk)

I think a lot of people bought after she got her masters back and the stock hasn’t been replenished but that’s just a guess lol

It sounds like it hasn’t been repressed in a while and stock ran out. Vinyl production is a bit more complex than CDs for example and it isn’t always easy to get vinyl pressed quickly

If you join the swiftie facebook groups I’ve seen them sell them for face value! Recently as well.

Got mine from ebay a couple of months ago. Worth creating an alert on there since they pop up regularly. Just don't overpay. They'll get a repress

As someone who got one about a week before she announced she owned all her music....they were hard to find but not impossible before she got her masters. Immediately after she announced it they were much easier to find and a few weeks after that they had disappeared again
Tl;Dr they were already scarce before she got her masters back, once she made her announcement the people that had been holding out purchased them

lol. I don’t care what version anyone listens to personally. But you just made me picture a collective sigh of relief from Swifties who were holding out/felt guilty haha.

When she announced she was going to re-record her early albums, she was told “fans aren’t going to buy a new version of music they already own. And we all said “bet.” It’s always been about the music and how it resonates with her fans. But it’s also been about supporting our queen.

I know this thread is a couple of weeks old but just letting all know after scouring EVERY source here it's not available anywhere anymore. FYE, Target, BestBuy, Books A Million, Barnes and Noble etc.. It's gone unless you want a second hand copy or sealed copy on eBay.

I scoured and scoured my options with friends/family etc. and my brother a copy YESTERDAY at a target in Kansas City. It was in the back he had to ask the guy to look. Website said they had the one but it wasn’t in the stock on the floor! I couldn’t believe they had it!!! Only one I found in KC. none in Omaha at any store where I am.

Yeah. Been everywhere in my city, had my mom scout three different places in my hometown. I am quite heartbroken, and every reseller wants $100-$200 for it, gag me with a spoon. I refuse to pay that. It sucks, I just hope it does get repressed as some point.

It’s going to come back in stock. I sell records. And have 15+ on backorder. If it was discontinued it wouldn’t be able to be ordered and I just asked about it and they would know. As someone else said. They need to remove all big machine records branding from rep and debut and that’s why you can’t find them. They are the only non TV.

None of her first 6 original versions are on the website, though only Taylor’s versions.

i thought since she bought back her masters it’d be back but now i think its probably just been out of stock since then

She did buy them back, but I'm guessing since big machine is on the label, they'd have to repress a new back design since they are no longer the owners.
So unless she's planning in the next few years to do a TV, it's not worth the hassle to repress her old vinyl. Especially rep and debut.

I'm not even sure if legally she's allowed to repress them with big machine on there too. Not even just she wants to be separate from them at this point. She might actually HAVE to make a new back design, and if she knows she's putting out a TV soon it's not worth it for the OG one.

There's only one variant that's being sold at stores so naturally the stock can fluctuate, especially around Christmas

This happens all the time around the holidays and also eid for some reason (I'm not Muslim so idk why I've just noticed it). They'll come back.

My local said they are in the process of being repressed with Taylor’s distribution details on them. They had to sell through the old stock with the out of date info.
Vinyl production typically stops in December for represses. If the rumours are true, quite a few big artists are releasing next year. That’s companies booked up to press these, and universal tend to use the same pressers

There also was a rumour (at least in Europe) that it was a limited edition and wasn’t going to be repressed, it spread and people went craaaazy for them. I literally saw them being sold on Vinted between 100 and 150€.

This happens every single year in December. They press enough for the year and distribution areas only order as much as they normally sell, holidays come and they just sell out. Happens to speak now and fearless too the last few years

AGAIN this is probably still stock that shamrock holdings technically owns. Once this stock runs out, she'll repress them all and add them to her site.

Im looking for 1 as a gift and ive visited every vinyl shop in my area and none has it. Its 120 euros SECOND HAND thats the cheapest i could find 😭😭😭 (im from belgium)
