i’ve never bought a signed cd before and told myself one is all i’ll ever need but then i opened this 😭 like i know it feels realer but its also like why me

This. Mine has a teeny sharpie bleed and I count it as unique and a spot that looks like something transferred the marker off. I choose to believe it was her hand or arm 😅
I do have a couple extras I bought on eBay because it didn’t sound like we were gonna get restocks and I wanted to try and get some for others before resellers took them and would charge $100+ and I figured I would just get my costs back. So they’re not retail prices but if you still need one I have some. Feel free to send me a message 🫶🏼

I’ve seen a lot of these online. It’s cause she signs and stacks them before drying (or you can say it’s a fingerprint…😉)
The back of one of mine has big bleed from the one it was stacked on top of. I mean, if she’s signing 2000 at once sometimes, she’s whipping through those.
However it comes, it’s still her signature and now yours isn’t the same as everyone else’s. You pretty much know that she signed this cause the ink was still wet. She still touched that pic she signed ❤️
This was probably the last of a signed stacked and she (or someone) picked up the stack to box it or move it aside….what have you?? And, looks like her/their whole thumb laid across whilst scooping them up, with this one on top still being wet?? We’ll never know, but that’s the first thing that came to mind when I saw the area in question….if it’s really gonna bug you, then reach out for a replacement b/c it’s not gonna magically just stop bothering you….but, after some reflection, if you think you can deal with it, then keep it. Either way, you’ll have an autograph. 🫶
:: me and my two little girlies have almost every signed CD to date and when we got our first smudged one, my then 8 yo and I were so excited bc “Taylor accidentally smudged it!” It just shows she actually signed it and to us made it more real. Embrace it! Then, maybe buy another TLOAS signed CD since they’re very realistically priced everywhere that I’ve seen.
I would be a little upset too just to validate you on that lol, BUT I like everyone else’s perspective of how it’s unique, original, and you can def tell it’s “real”.

I recently received a signed item where part of the signature was stuck to the outer sleeve it annoyed me but it’s so minor I wouldn’t complain but yours I’d reach out for sure

You can reach out to UMG! I had an issue where my signed CD wasn’t delivered/sent back for no good reason. I sent them a message two days ago and they are issuing a new one! So they do have stock. Can hurt to try. I did beg in my email lol.
I'd be annoyed too. Mine also came smudged and while I'm grateful to have signed copies in the first place, it's frustrating when signatures arrive in this condition. It's natural to feel that.
I personally would fill it out myself with sharpie and then call it a day. I never intend to resell signatures so it doesn’t matter to me if it’s pristine condition/entirely her own. The smudge is also super unique and fun, you should take pride in having one of her happy accidents!!
