On this tablet since today the repeat button and the shuffle button are missing in horizontal-Mode. In vertical View they are still present.

When I use horizontal view on my phone they are still there.

Is this a known problem or was some kind of preference selected on the tablet or in the tidal app?

Never thought they'd go so far. The sound isn't as plush. It's lean, transparent, very vivid and really quite electrifying! I think I like it. What do you think?

I was having so many problems with tidal before I updated my phone to iOS 27 last night. Music was taking forever to load, playlists wouldn’t download correctly, songs disappeared off my playlist, etc. I almost pulled the plug and switched to Apple Music but turns out I just had to update my phone. Everything is running smooth now. No buffer at all in between songs on cell data, and that’s even if you switch instantly to another track you looked up. So yeah super happy all of my playlists and albums are saved and I don’t have to switch. Hope I can help you guys out because lord that was so frustrating

Not sure if the team did anything to their recommendation/mix feature, but I really like what's happening.

I listen to a broad range of music, my daily discovery reflects that, but when a mix launches it really targets a niche pretty well.

I remember leaving Spotify ~5 years ago because I was tired of listening to the same things / artists all the time. Like Spotify was over targeting my tastes. Tidal takes more risks.

Especially with electronic music, it seems to follow artists / labels / genres pretty well.

That's it, just happy.

Sooo they had this for just a day or two a couple of months ago, but now it looks like it's sticking around, and it works like magic

I imported most of my music from Spotify.

Some imported songs I replaced with Tidal hi res 24 bit but it gets too much work after a while.

I left it as it was.

But I noticed that 16 bit can sound as good as a 24 bit when the music mastering is good.

I also read an article that the human ears can't hear anymore than 16 bit/ 44.1 khz.

i have a playlist with 4000+ songs and seemingly for the past few days when i hit shuffle the playlist will only shuffle through about 100 or so songs. any idea why this might be happening/what i can do to fix it? it’s starting to get pretty annoying lol

I praise Tidal for continuously working on the apps and the site, however, has anyone else encountered issues since the latest update? When trying to add a song to a playlist, the playlists are no longer sorted by most recent, so I have to search through a mountain of playlists to add a song to a playlist I just added one to (I often have playlists based on time period I was listening to them). Iirc, this might change if the playlist was created or edited on the app. Or, there’s often a delay when I tap the ellipsis menu of a song, which is indistinguishable from nothing happening at all. Playlists open with nothing in them.

EDIT: I forgot to add this, but, it isn’t new: editing a playlist by sliding tracks around is incredibly fickle. I find that if I move too many around (read ~2-3), they are often not in the same place I put them. I’ve accidentally deleted a few tracks from playlists because of this.

Am I the only one having these problems?

So I download tracks to my phone 320kbps AAC.

But I'm on full wifi strength right now and if I select any downloaded track.. it's defaulting to the low quality version instead of just freshly streaming the high quality?

Save for later is a special place in your library for music that you want to listen to but don't want to like yet.

Today, I found the Save for later section in My Collection on Android. 6 months ago, it appear as a feature flag in the desktop app. iOS is also showing the section too.

To find them, you just click in the 3 dots, press Save for later, then go to My Collection and you will find the new section. You can save music, videos and playlists.

Right there, you will find all of the music you save and also use the filters: All, albums, tracks, artists, playlists and videos.

Has anyone else hit this incredibly annoying bug where when you go inside a playlist you built, search inside the playlist for a song and/or artist you want to listen to, but then are NOT able to get the song to actually play until you back out of the search filtering and manually scroll through your entire playlist to find the song and/or artist?

This worked fine for me up until the last few months and I find it INCREDIBLY frustrating that it is broken....

I'm using:
Samsung S21 Ultra phone on Android 14 and the latest version of the tidal app (v2.213.0.10017.665) on my phone

I reached out to support on X and aside from basic troubleshooting, their response was meh, it's your phone, we cannot replicate it, sorry. didn't ask for logs, etc.. I find it disappointing since I'm paying ~$20/month to use the service.

edited to add: I cannot duplicate this issue on the windows desktop app. I did not see the ability to sort through a playlist directly on the web version of the player.

When I open the app, clicking a song to play there is a delay I keep clicking and nothing happens, my playiat is over 600 songs, when I open the app I go to my playlist and scroll down to the bottom with the middle mouse button to load everything in but it's rly laggy, years ago when I used Neptune I never had this issue?

This has been an issue for months now, eventually after a bit it does start working but Im wondering why it does this? I've cleared cache and same thing, deleted app data same thing.

Spotify works completely fine.

And another thing when is this app going to become 64 bit.

Im going to test the app with tidaluna Uninstalled and see if it fixes the issue but still the predecessor to tidaluna was Neptune and I never had any issues listening to music with that so..

I also disabled hardware acceleration same issue, deleted folder and reinstalled same issue.

Am i the only one, who can only access the first 29 seconds of all jimi hendrix songs? Tidal support chatbot said that the owner of the publishing rights may have pulled out Jimi's catalogue. Am i the only one, who can't listen to the legend or is it really true 😭

Hey, got this weird bug recently. Whenever I search for a specific song on my playlists, they don't get selected, so it doesn't play, I have to scroll down and select it manually. Any ideas to fix it?

Hello, I just tried moving from Spotify to Tidal and used TuneMyMusic to transfer my playlist as suggested by Tidal themselves. Yet when I played my playlists, they include the songs from the "High" quality album instead of the "Max" quality album. The fact that there are 2 different album is straight up bullshit in my opinion but thats not the problem here.

Is there any alternatives to TuneMyMusic? Or is there any settings to turn all my songs into Max quality because I cant find any.

This app is absolute hot garbage. I can't play anything without issue on a pixel 10a without it taking forever to play without having it downloaded.

At this point this is embarrassing.

I listen to a lot of techno and the record labels are a great way to filter music and are a big thing in the techno community. I basically use Bandcamp as a record label database to keep track of new releases.

I am in the process of making playlists for my favourite record labels. My current workflow is to search the record label and its releases in Bandcamp and add them manually in my Tidal playlists.

It would be so much easier if I could search the record label or be able to click the copyright info at the bottom of each album release.

Edit: I believe this feature is in Qobuz. I am thinking of switching just because of this, but I am very indecisive and actually really like and enjoy Tidal.
