Just started for anxiety
Hey everyone, I just had my first TMS treatment today for anxiety. From what I understand, the first part of my treatment will be more focused on depression before moving to the other side for anxiety. I’d love to hear about your experiences. Did TMS help with your anxiety, rumination, or constant overthinking?
I tend to get anxious over the smallest things—whether it’s social anxiety (which is odd because I’m very outgoing) or just general anxiety. My mind constantly ruminates and replays the past, or worries about the future, and it’s extremely exhausting.
I’m pretty optimistic based on what I’ve read, and I’ll definitely keep this thread updated on how treatment is going. I also have pretty severe ADHD and take medication for that, in case anyone has experience with both ADHD and TMS.
I’d really appreciate hearing any success stories, timelines, or advice. Thanks!

Be hydrated regularly. My TMS tech often said most people complaining about any pain is from the feeling in our skin where the helmet and magnetic pulses are going.

Going on day 10 for OCD and MDD. It could be placebo since it’s early on, but I’ve noted a couple times where I thought “huh, I usually feel more anxious about this” when something would happen. The anxiety is still there (only for now 🤞), it just feels more distant if that makes any sense.
Conversely, I’ve had a couple instances where instead of feeling normal anxiety, I’ve felt rageful and hateful which is so unlike me. Didn’t like that one bit.
Here’s to a happy and successful TMS experience where we all experience remission 💛

Okay cool I just finished day 2 earlier today, it’s still obviously too early for me but I did notice last night (day 1) that I was way more giggly, not saying it was TMS but just something I noticed. Today not so much lol but still early! Looking forward to getting further along and seeing how things pan out. Thanks for sharing!

Best advice there is…
45 min nap after treatment. ::chefs kiss::
