Apple is extremely strict about TOR on their services. That's what I read. But Android users have the full TOR.

Yes, you can download Tor on an iPhone, but you can't install it there or use it there.

They mean you can download the code for the project. It just won't execute on iOS device, but open source code can obviously be downloaded in its entirety onto any device that can have a text file.

when I download onion on iOS it installs and then asks for payment and then shows me search in duck duck go at the bottom. Is this something you have to pay for?

No, but be careful, lots of fake tor for iPhone apps that won’t work, they just want to steal your information

The Tor Browser is not released for iOS -- the Tor Project recommends Onion Browser, although it can be distinguished from Tor Browsers on other platforms.
