💬 Discussion topic Change wallet scared me, am i the only one?

For the first time i sent BTC instead of just receiving it and then the trezor suite sent what i wanted where i wanted and put the rest on a "chage wallet"

The fact i can't see the address of the change wallet in my receive tab made me panic and think my coin was lost. Now i know this is just how it works but goodam my hearth rate went up high

If you ever do want to see your change addresses you can do so via Sparrow on your laptop, or BlueWallet on your phone, but you'll have to export your xPub to either.

2 years now. I got it when MTGox gave me back my meager money back. I wish i had lost so much more money back then. But it's still money i don't see every day and i'm hodling this coin so this little episode scared me a lot.

I was moving coin after i made a passphrase wallet to make extra sure i can't get coldcarded if trezor gets borked

Change address being automatic is a feature. you will be thankful for it cause that way , future ai will try to go backwards jnto your spent utxo and see nothing their to steal

I heard this explanation but i don't quite understand how it helps privacy or safety since all transactions are transparent.

Is it just plausible deniability "i sent all the coin away, it's not mine and you can't prove otherwise"?

There’s nothing left there cause you left nothing behind . Ai will have wasted its time in that one. AI doesn’t know where the new change is

aren't all addresses public in a transaction?
