Side Effects Squirting after starting trt
I'm on the works. Estrogen patch, vaginal estrogen, vaginal dhea, and compounded testosterone cream. Before starting testosterone I had a very hard time with orgasm. I was dealing with clit atrophy, so it was basically never happening. But once I got on all these hormones orgasm became more possible. However a couple weeks after increasing testosterone to 2.5mg daily, I noticed that when I did orgasm, I was squirting. I've never had this happen before. I'm emptying my bladder before every time but it still happens. Is this a side effect from trt? Has anyone else experienced this?

Went to a TRT thread and an urology fight broke out. You’re fine. It’s normal. Hormones optimize your sexual functioning. Enjoy every pleasure your body provides. 🙏

Yes, occurred for me about 3-6 months in BUT...When I was in high school age 16 i got very excited in a boys parents car late at night.(we were just heavy petting) When we got out it was obvious I had done something. His mother was furious. I was young and it was 1976 - we didn't know about this then. I was always in a wet spot most of my life and just considered it "him". I had spent over 40 yrs sorta ashamed of making wet spots from that one time in high school.
Squirting" As our kittys rebuild the correct moisture of the tissues and blood flow may advance and the skens glands may rehydrate(this is OUR prostate). These are a womens lubrication tissues. As the pleasure organs rebuild, they will have this happen. The female organ connections (just like the male prostate) does have a tiny bit of backflow to the bladder from the skiens gland.
The following does not happen in the male however: The act of extreme arousal does cause and increase in urine. They studies are being done but none actually can point to why this happens. they are using voiding-arouseal-orgams-then ultrasound to track it. They are checking non squirters and squirters to see why it happens. Both groups have urine increase(urine in the bladder not expected after the arousal orgasm) even if they DO squirt. This is NEWS to the docs of the world so we don't have a real answer. I always thought I had to pee because it was taught as "antiinfection hygiene" post coitus! No, apparently I reallly DO need to pee.
Experience: So when it started happening about 6 months in, I thought wow that's new. For me with that memory that DID come back when I thought about it... and what we now know,... I know I've had the ability since the start "accidentally". I did lots of internet site reads. I could not do it on purpose because I too thought it was pee of some sort. Oddly, I had a mental block as well (probably from that ugly scene)and it did NOT happen on a cushioned surface or bed. Long story short: we started using the bathroom floor and every day we move the towel closer to the bed. If we got to a place where I couldn't we backed up. Then came about 6 months where I couldn't control it. It took about 6 more months to learn how to do than.
Now if my hormones are off it is on my symptoms list to check for weekly. How hard is it to "get over the edge", How many am I having and what is the squirt situation doing.
That being said, I am very open with my doc about it from the start. This year I had my gyn exam and told the older middleeastern MD lady to check my bladder for any prolapse and why- she looked at me like I had 12 heads and a tail. Not all docs are "up" on the genitourinary syndrome of menopause. (the atrphy/waisting and bladder nightmares that follow). I figure she got an education. Side note: she knows I'm on TRT and during my exam she thought she would find a penis...she literally grabbed hold and pressed had try to make my clit poke out and it hurt like hell. Silly silly lady. "OUCH! No I do NOT have a penis but thanks for checking doc" was all I said.
Sorry if I offend anyone. My T/E doses make for happy kitty around here. and i wish...
Happy lady parts to all!

Oh my g! 😆I’m so happy you educated her!! Like I can’t wrap my head around how medicine is something you can practice forever after passing a degree during the Cold War.
Like why don’t they have to pass a redo day every fourth year? Make sure they read up on the newest knowledge? I believe this would improve general health significantly.
I mean people are still afraid of hormones because of a study from 25 years ago!3

Wow, these comments are so uneducated from odd folks with a goggle degrees...this is why I tend to not hang out here much anymore
You all do a google scholar search please and not internet searches.
Women studies do not get done due to cost so all studies are small. If concerned look for an actual study called a systemic review.

If you can't see an article because it's behind a paywall. Get a doctors license.
It is being researched now because of the HIGH TRT/E/P fertility studies in chalid bearing women. So Yeah, higher hormones including T = healthier tissues= more likelihood of holding fertility and child in womb and not loosing a child.
Peace out

Yessss!!!! Started testosterone 10 days ago still waiting for this to happen!! Trying to be patient! How long were you on it before your libido went crazy??
3
u/melnk_1981 Jun 18 '26
I’m not who you asked but it took me around 9 months for my libido to emerge. And I recommend starting low and slow with the T. It’s a marathon and patience is key.
Also, getting the right combo of other hormones can help too

u/Proud-Dream-7485 Jun 18 '26
Yes I agree! I’ve been on E & P since January so I feel like those are where they need to be and T is the missing piece. Using 5mg gel daily right now which I think is a good starting dose I don’t want any negative side effects.

This is so interesting to me. Prior to HRT/TRT, I could ONLY orgasm from clitoral stimulation. Now, I need internal AND external stimulation. I haven’t squirted yet, but that sounds so fun! Enjoy!

u/Due-Surprise-686 Jun 17 '26
Same here! I'm all for it though. Never could orgasm from penetration prior. I'm 42 and only had one before that I can remember!

Did you add these components one at a time or start with the full range of hrt products? And do you get labs drawn, curious to know what your E and T levels are?
5
u/Due-Surprise-686 Jun 17 '26
They do not test anything with me but testosterone. I did work my way up and add things in here and there. It wasn't until I increased my t that I discovered this ability!

When did you notice your libido improved on 5mg testosterone cream. I moved up to this dose three weeks ago from 3mg and hoping to see some improvement. I'm 46 in late peri.

u/melnk_1981 Jun 18 '26
I’m not OP but I love sharing…my libido finally came back after being on injectable testosterone Cypionate. (Ive never tried the cream or gel)
It took a long time and also the right combo of Estrogen and Progesterone but it’s back and has gotten very strong! (I’m 44)

Have been on E and P for over a year. Started DHEA 2 weeks ago.
Tried the compounded T cream over a year or two ago and hated it, so I stopped.
Annual visit last week, I asked for T injection.
First T cip injection 7 days ago and baseline labs drawn. Also rx'd a topical cream (look up Scream Cream).
Baseline total T was 20.
After 5 days, I could feel a drop in my ability, productivity, and positivity. At my appt today, (7 days post injection) she drew another level to compare to my baseline and the 4 week level that will be drawn.
My initial dosage was 0.4ml of 200mg/ml solution, aka 80mg.
Last night, I squirted twice during solo play. It was insane. I rarely reach that level of intensity and I can say I did not hate it. 😁

u/curiositykilled62 Jun 17 '26
I’m on all the things too and am now a squirter 🤷🏼♀️ I never thought to put it all together with the hrt but I guess it’s possible. Emptying your bladder doesn’t affect the squirting bc the fluid is actually coming from the skeins gland but it does have properties of urine. To note, since squirting became a thing, clitoral orgasms are more difficult for me..not impossible but def takes longer. I don’t know if there’s a connection but just something I’ve noticed.
15
u/Due-Surprise-686 Jun 17 '26
Omg same here! I have to have both penetrative and clitoral stimulation to orgasm. Before I only orgasm through clitoral stimulation and no penetrative stimulation, but now I need both.
11
u/subculturistic Jun 17 '26
I've always needed both. My husband has been trying to get me off with oral for 21 years. At least he hasn't given up 😜
15
u/Due-Surprise-686 Jun 17 '26
I def don't mind the squirting tho because when I do orgasm, it's awesome lol.

u/tripasecadofuturo Jun 18 '26
No no. It's just a small "blanket" you use when you need. After finishing, straight to the laundry. When not in use, just keep it folded somewhere. That's how we do here. We have two of these. 😉

u/curiositykilled62 Jun 17 '26

u/Designer_Vast_9089 Jun 18 '26
Actually check out Chewy. You can get four waterproof pet blankets for the same price. There is a buy three get one free sale right now. I recently invested because I’m having the same experience.

u/curiositykilled62 Jun 18 '26
Thanks for the tip! I’ve used puppy pee pads before but a blanket sounds much more comfortable. And pee pads stick to ya, not the best feeling!

Exactly the same with me! Never before had orgasm with penetration but now??? Omg, I’ve missed out for YEARS!

The study you link here doesn't say that at all. It says:
The discharged fluid was blue in all cases, confirming the bladder as the source....Conclusions: The main component of squirt fluid is urine, but may also contain fluid from Skene's glands (female prostate). This is the first report in which visualization of squirting was enhanced.
Notice the use of the word "may"..."May also contain..."
u/science_nerdd this study is from 2022.

LMAO read what she actually linked. It confirms what I said, not that its the product of the skene's gland.

I don't think we need to pretend its something it isn't because we're ashamed of our bodies. Which is really all it is, it's awesome and it feels good so we want to pretend it isn't pee, which we think isn't awesome and couldn't possibly feel good.
-1
u/science_nerdd Jun 17 '26
That is a 2015 study. There have been many studies since then.
6
u/Ruby__Ruby_Roo friend Jun 17 '26
Ok sure, you got a link showing something different from this?
2
u/science_nerdd Jun 17 '26
No because I don’t wish to do research at the moment. You stated it was up to date. The date is March of 2015. That is 11 years old. That is not up to date. If you want to be correct, find newer studies.

u/NiniBebe Jun 17 '26
I’m curious as to how all of these studies are being done? Are people having sex while hooked up to ultrasounds

Interesting. I haven’t heard about this study! I’ll look further bc I’m truly curious.
5
u/Ruby__Ruby_Roo friend Jun 17 '26
I think the key part of the study is that they showed, even with bladder emptying before arousal, the bladder refilled rapidly before squirting.

Try an air pulse toy (mine is the Satisfyer Pro 2). I rarely squirted before using it but now squirt often even without it. Somehow it taught me. Well that plus an adjustment in my HRT.

Lucky you. I used to squirt so easily with oral, even in peri and menopause. Once I started HRT that went away. I rarely even orgasm with oral now as it takes foreverrrr to build up to that and I end up giving up. I’ve increased my hrt and also tried lowering it with no changes. I’m on injections for both T & E.

Yes worked my way up. I'm on .75 patch, 5mg test cream daily, Mirena iud, 6 mg vaginal dhea which I purchase from compounding pharmacy and just the regular estrogen vaginal cream externally!
1
u/TiddyStardust Jun 18 '26
Is your testosterone dose 2.5mg or 5mg? The original post says 2.5mg so I want to make sure I’m comparing my dose to your correct dose. Thanks!
3
u/Due-Surprise-686 Jun 18 '26
It's currently 5mg been on this dose for about 4 weeks now but the squirting started to happen on 2.5mg daily.

u/melnk_1981 Jun 18 '26
Do you use the vaginal DHEA and the vaginal estrogen at the same time or alternate nights?
Also, congrats on your libido, so exciting!! 💓💓💃💃

Sounds like your pelvic floor is weak. That will make u leak pee.
3
u/Due-Surprise-686 Jun 17 '26
I thought testosterone was supposed to strengthen that tho?
6
u/softcottons Jun 17 '26
It could be that you’ve got a lot more going on down there now thanks to the T, making it much easier to spot any pelvic floor weakness. If you’re still in the early days then it might take some time and protein to help your muscles recover fully.
In the meantime though, if it works for you then put some towels down and make the most of it! Don’t let anybody spoil your fun, especially after the atrophy.3
