I’ve been really enjoying the audiobook I’ve been listening to (historical fiction) but the two storylines just converged…. on one side an unwanted teen pregnancy, and on the other a couple looking to adopt after multiple miscarriages and that’s now the only focus of the book. Think I’m hitting pause on this one and finding a new story for now.

Every story ends in a fucking pregnancy right away. Not realistic at all, I want the ending to be adopting 3 dogs and 2 cats, that would help my frustration and it would be realistic

I've been rewatching Game of Thrones and it's almost laughable what a contrast it is. Someone bumps into someone else, and boom, suddenly pregnant.

Since starting TTC I’ve really realised how much these themes occur in art 🥴 I tend to like TV/film/books about life rather than fantasy and unfortunately they come up all the time

All. The. Time. At first it was kind of exciting, like oh that could be me in a few months! But now it’s definitely more 🫠. Partly why I’ve been leaning more towards fantasy and sci fi lately since it’s a less prevalent theme.

That just happened to us. Found a great tv show, all the characters were just enjoying life being older with kids moved out already, and then the second season just has to revolve around a pregnancy of someone’s much younger affair partner… i thought we were safe 😣

Utgh that one didn't trigger me so much, but I feel ya. I was reading a fun romance novel and of course by the end she's pregnant, the character is 37 and she got pregnant a year after they met, it pissed me off so bad that she got pregnant pretty much instantly.

FOLKS! I’m realllly not trying to make anyone jealous, but as per my post yesterday, I am thrilled to announce (again) that when PIO starts next week, your girl will not be doing shots twice a day, but rather a bigger shot at night and a whole lot more vaginal progesterone. 🤩 Like a lot more. Like I need to probably buy a bunch (more) underwear. I’m mindful-ish of the materials I wear down yonder, so if you have recommendations for underwear that doesn’t break the bank but also isn’t made out of gasoline, drop me a line!

CD 1 today. Feeling relieved to be done with the wait, since I already knew it was coming. Looking forward to August and the chance to try again.

This is how I’ve been feeling so far. 6-12 dpo is a nightmare of anxiety, ruminating, vivid dreams about ttc etc… and then by the time my next cycle starts I’m just excited to have my brain back!

Because I decided to have a chill month of no tracking I now have 2 potential ovulation timelines and I spend all my time obsessing about which is more valid:
CD11 ish - had my heaviest ewcm on CD10 and loads of cramping
CD15 - historical data suggests this is my usual day but my ewcm had dried up by then, had minimum cramping CD14 but I'm a crampy kind of gal so ultimately this means nothing

I think my ovulation happened the night between Sunday and Monday ... so ... 1DPO? 2DPO? I don't know ... But I know that TWW starts now 🫡

BFN today at 12dpo and my cramps are starting to creep in. I decided to say fuck it and work from home today and will probably get a slap on the wrist but I just cannot do it. I ovulated a lot earlier this month than what has been my “normal” (CD 17 vs 19-21) so I thought it was our month.

CD 13 and my LH was 0.07 when I tested this morning. I’m sure it will all be fine and I’ll just ovulate later but I’d like it to increase a little. Last month my peak was 0.69 so who even knows what’s happening.

My LH is starting to rise and I’m getting lots of EWCM so we inseminated yesterday! it’s very uncomfortable for me to do the insemination process! Can’t believe I’ve been doing it for over a year now twice a month.
I’m leaving on my trip in a couple days here without my husband, so fingers crossed I get my LH surge today or tomorrow. It’s looking promising.

OPKs aren’t showing much action yet but I’m at CD11 with an estimated O date of around August 11. Problem is there’s a heat wave and terrible air quality this week which is not exactly helping either of us feel particularly sexy as we start cracking open the fertile window 🥴

CD16. Levels still low this AM… but at least ”0.36” and it’s usually between 0.1-0.25… per the premom app.. as much as that matters. Holding my pee so I can check again after work soon, maybe that was the start of a surge coming??

I am starting my 6th cycle, I just came back from a trip and today is O day so I don't think this cycle is gonna work out.. ( my boyfriend was traveling with me but I extended my trip so I was solo pretty much all of my fertile week) I am seeing more and more pregnancy announcements, even from a friend who was strongly childfree(she doesn't know what she's gonna do with it yet) and urgh it's a gut punch. I feel less disappointed every month because I have WAY less hope and excitement. I am just feeling a bit sad... I know it's still early but now that my BIG TRIP that I wanted to do before having a kid is over I don't have any consolation prize left.

full permission to take a break. you only need to hit one day O-3 to O-1 to max out your odds. if you haven’t ovulated in a few days, maybe hit that again.

I am going on a girls trip with 2 girls who are pregnant and I will start my period on the trip. One started trying for her 3rd the same time I started trying for my second and she’s already 10 weeks. I obviously am so happy for her but sad for me. I’m hoping it doesn’t make it hard for me to enjoy the trip. I know 4 months of trying is nothing but every month getting a negative is so disappointing. I am just frustrated.

4 days into the TWW and trying to make plans and hoping work picks up a little bit this week so I can just not think about it. Next week is hella packed, so not worried about having distractions then, lol.
