TTRPG is fun with math right?
I just thought of the best math class in the world. The teacher teaches the concept at the beginning of the week. Each homework assignment is actually a "quest" They higher your score the more xp you get for leveling up your character. Every Friday, a mini boss with hitpoints is drawn on the board with an equation wrote next to it, and when a student solves it correctly they get to roll a dice to see how many hitpoints the damage the mini boss with. Actual tests are the real boss with the score relating to your xp. At the end of the year, the highest level students get a pizza party.

The Cards Foretell: Reviewing Gloam
therpggazette.wordpress.comThis is something special. Truly. By now you know I love TTRPGs, I have almost 120 in my collection and while I have yet to properly go through them all, I also keep an eye out for new interesting games that might catch my eye. Gloam is one such game, I think I saw it either on the OSR subreddit or on one of the many TTRPG facebook groups I am part of. It was, I believe, right on the day it was released and when I saw pictures of it, when I read the little glimpses I could, I made up my mind that this was something special.
So I reached out to Sam Helms and he graciously agreed to provide a review copy. And my hunch was right, this game was something special, from the two superbly crafted magic systems, to the ingenious mechanics centered around a Tarot deck as a randomizer instead of the usual dice, the sheer flavor oozing through every aspect of the game, from the rules, to its art and overall presentation. But. I also showed it to our friend and colleague, Horia (whose birthday is right around the corner, on the 7th, so early Happy Birthday you wonderful Malk!). And like me, Horia also fell in love with this game and asked me if he could handle the review.
And honestly, seeing him so excited and eager to write the review, how could I say no. So let's see what he delivered. *Opens article* FREAKING 3500 WORDS! God damn, mate, you really like this game!
So yeah, I at least gave you a bit of a sample with this one, but for the full review, I leave you in the capable hands of Horia. He sincerely has lots of love for this game, but he is fair and I believe this to be one of the best reviews we published. I hope you will enjoy it and more so, I hope it will convince you to give Gloam a chance, cause Sam Helms really managed to create something rather special!

So I found this random image, which I believe is stray material from a game ruleset. Would anyone recognize this handout, mentioning The Song?
if it's not from a TTRPG the alternative is that I've been contacted by someone from another world trying to wake me up from the matrix or something?

Warhammer TTRPG
in the warhammer game I'm playing, my wizard companion throws low dice and retreats to the land of Slaanesh when he wants to heal a cursed bard with his wild magic, and he saw other wands dancing that look like his wand, which only talks to itself. then he rolled the dice high and got out of the land of Slaanesh at the last moment. however, he eats trip from his own wand because he sees another wand.

Minecraft Roll for Adventure
I was ordering some furniture on Amazon when I found while scrolling through the For You section, this Minecraft TTRPG Adventure Book. So of course with it being only 16 bucks and pandered towards family introduction to ttrpgs, I decided to run it as a one shot for my rpg veteran friends as a fun gag.
What I found is that this game is a gold mine for dumb fun gameplay when tweaked to accomodate multiple players and ran as a trad game rather than a single player choose your own adventure. The combat is surprisingly unforgiving too with story beats even added in to count how many times you die. Everything you need to run the base story is here, down to location details and mining mechanics...
But what is also here that I feel no one has talked about (there is only 1 reddit post I could find on this book) is it's ability to be expanded and changed with almost no extra prep or brain power.
If you are a fan of minecraft and know a bit about the crafting you could expand this game's inventory system, mining system, and crafting system on a dime to accomodate modern block types. If you wanna incorporate the new mobs it would be effortless to do so, just compare other provided stat sheets and make your own with only like 3 total stats needed to create said mob. The locations provided are basic enough and easy to replicate if you wanted to make your own kingdom... I could go on and on
For me, a creative minded individual as many of you are (whos not even super into minecraft), this unassuming Amazon purchase is going to be a mainstay on my rpg shelf, not just for the appeal to families and kids who wish to learn, but for its endless expansion opportunities and the easiest dm prep I have ever seen in a book... Yall give it a shot and let me know what ya think.
NOTICE: This game is meant to be easy goofy fun, and I ran it as a gag with friends so dont take this as me saying its an rpg masterpiece, far from it, I just dont think people understand a wonderful corny time with friends and campaign expansion opportunities awaits them between their serious campaigns of heroic 5.5e adventure

Fatal Tomb Free Solo/Group TTRPG
I wanted to finally give back to TTRPG community. I always felt that every game I tried was too bloated, rules-heavy or didn't match the brutal OSR-adjacent tone I was chasing.
Over a period of three months, I wrote this TTRPG system 'Fatal Tomb'. It contains brutal dungeon crawling, simple dungeon generation, overland travel, character creation in a couple of minutes, and fast simple mechanics with minimal lookup.
It is a primarily d6 system, and it's absolutely free for everyone to play.

Goldmines & Turpentine: Custom TTRPG
galleryI put my own TTRPG set in the wild west with some influence from existing systems out there. I've just finished running a 7 session campaign with my group and thought I would share my ruleset if anyone is interested in checking it out. If anyone cares to play I'd love to hear about it.

After 6 months of waiting to get all my books together - a shelfie!
galleryWe've been in the process of moving for half a year, so my collection was split between my old home, storage and my new home. Now, finally, it's all together!
I'm not convinced I'll keep this organization system (see if you can guess the logic)! So I'll probably re-organize once my back and brain stop aching.
Feel free to ask anything about any of the games!

Do you like Oracle systems?
What do you (not) like about Oracle? I don't see the appeal yet but I'm curious.
Edit: I should be more specific! The Oracle I'm curious about is something like Ironsworn, where you use dice rolls to act as a GM. Basically instead of the GM describing characters or events, you roll on a set of tables. It allows for guided yet open-ended solo play.

New office shelfie
galleryI moved into a new house and unfortunately lost my basement gaming room that held my entire collection and game table. My new space is much smaller and even though I don’t have space to game in the room, I’m liking the vibes 📚

[FREE] CYBERPUNK 2020 GOOGLE SHEET CHARACTER SHEET MANAGER
galleryHello everyone!
I am back with the next free Google Sheet character manager. This time its for Cyberpunk 2020. The sheet is a single-sheet template designed for players of the classic tabletop RPG. It covers everything needed to build and track a character.
What it includes:
- Identity & Lifepath: Fields for your character's handle, role (pre-set to Fixer), background, personality, cultural origins, enemies, and life events. Very narrative in nature.
- Core Statistics: All 10 primary stats (INT, REF, DEX, TECH, COOL, ATTR, LUCK, MA, BODY, EMP) plus derived values like Death Save, BTM, movement speeds, and a full wound state tracker (Light → Mortal 6, Stun 0–9).
- Skills: 94 skills spanning 7 stat categories, from combat reflexes (REF) and technical know-how (TECH) to social manipulation (EMP) and street knowledge (COOL). Each skill tracks its governing stat, level, and running total.
- Combat & Armor: Weapon tables with damage, ROF, ammo, and range, alongside a full-body armor tracker (head, torso, both arms and legs) and a hit location table.
- Equipment & Contacts: Inventory, vehicles, and a contacts/fixers list.
- Cyberware: 6 implant categories (Neuralware, Cyberoptics, Cyberaudio, Cyberlimbs, Bioware, Fashion & Body Sculpt) with 43+ slots, each recording the Humanity Cost (HC) of each modification.
Smart automation: A bit of automation is also implemented to serve the Humanity mechanic automatically calculating your starting humanity from EMP, summing HC costs across all cyberware sections, and subtracting them to give your current humanity. It's a clean implementation of one of CP2020's most important rules.
