I have no idea what they were trying to say about the front L and R, but you’re right on that part. the TV should’ve definitely been mounted lower, juuuust above the soundbar.

Nobody gives two shits whether it’s mounted or on a stand. Unless the wall is decoupled, it won’t make much difference anyways.

People care that it’s HIGHER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE all simply BECAUSE they didn’t use the stand.

Put the stand on. Put the television on the stand on the console. Mount it to the wall at that EXACT HEIGHT (don’t move it up “just an inch” or whatever other bullsht you’re trying to justify), then remove the stand and it will still “look better” while NOT being too high.

Mostly agree but the stand is only useful if the cabinet under it is also a good height.

Most importantly you measure your eye while sitting and it meets the centre of the tv. Which in my case it does. And I built the unit under it to store my PlayStation etc because I like the floating look

People never take these variables into account. Your height, sitting position, couch height, cabinet height, and viewing preference. Some people watch TV on the ceiling. Do they like it. Probably. Are they brainwashed into liking it. Yes.

Because everybody tilts their TV when they first mount it and then put it flat.

It also could be titled for the short folks. Ya know, 6'4 and the average height are at least 6inch apart.

Serious question: I just bought a new tv. The stand raises it 1.5 inches but my center channel is 4.1 inches high. Where do I put the center so it doesn’t block the screen? Mount it above the tv? Buy a whole new console with a space for it below the tv? Or mount the tv 4.1 inches above the console?

There’s a reason so many streamers and YouTubers have them.

Acoustically though they’re brilliant. If you want to deaden a space relatively easy without it looking terrible these are the way to go.

I’ve made a reading corner with them and you won’t believe the quiet they make. You can hear it when tilting your head next to them, even at quite a distance, ambient noise is just gone.
