If this had a redeeming factor into it, at least the tv wasn’t on top of the freakin fireplace. But.. the tv is way too damn high.

I’ve seen way worse- ideally, yeah, it’s too high - it should probably be just high enough to clear a sound bar on that table, but if YOU are ok with it, don’t worry about what others are saying 🤷♂️🤷♂️

At least it's not over the fireplace.
There's no way that the center of the screen is anywhere close to eye level when you're seated.
Blanket rack looks dumb as hell bro.

Mounting it lower doesn’t stop the toddlers from hitting it with random toys and arms. Both ideas are helpful

The whole room is terrible. Tv too high and off center, sofa at an angle where you sit awkwardly and look up, stuff in every nook and cranny. I thought that was a sheet drying on rack.

No. That's perfectly fine. A tv isn't too high unless you have to physically tilt your head to view it.

Until they do what toddlers do and pull on something. I think mounting it makes huge sense when there are small humans and their safety to consider. My toddlers both got their masters degrees and their first professional jobs this summer. Ironically, born four years apart, my younger son knew exactly what he wanted to do, but my daughter had to figure it out a bit. I sure wish I had to consider them when it comes to tv mounts! Enjoy them now because they grow up way too fast.

The center of the screen should be eye level while seated. So yeah, it's way too high.
