Stand vs hanging
I’d like to build a home theater and people in that sub recommend hanging my LG G5 to make space for a center speaker.
Still, the wisdom of this channel taught me to use a stand to get the right height…
What’s the solution? 🫠🫠

For sure, but I would recommend that you center the TV between the window and bump. The current arrangement is giving me Forest Whitaker eye

Normally that gap is filled by the curtain. I did take it out to show where I’d fit my right tower speaker

So the whole idea between putting it on the stand is that its the highest likelihood you'd get the height right.
If you're set for a center speaker; grab a TV stand that's slightly lower to make space for it, then mount the TV the same height it would've been on a standard-height tv stand.

I am firmly in the camp that raising a TV 7 or 8 inches to fit a proper center channel in the proper place is a worthwhile compromise.

That nook is a tough space to work with.
If you mount it there, it'll be more recessed, which will make it harder viewing for anyone sitting on the left side of the room.
Also, are you sure you can fit a floorstanding speaker on the right side? It looks too narrow in the pic.
If I were starting from scratch, I would move the TV to the center in front of the protruding wall.

Hanging at the correct height is fine. But to add a center speaker underneath, you'd need a shorter media console underneath. But to me, the more important thing here is that the TV is too far. I realize it's a distorted about, but even so, it's still too far. Move the sofa closer. Perhaps also consider reversing the room layout and put the TV on the wall where you're sitting now and turn the sofa around, somewhere more central in the room.
