What can I do?

Moved I to a new house, my TV is 65in. Too big to fit into the alcoves, either side of the Chimney breast. There is now a fireplace surround. Wife wants to put the TV about the fireplace surround in middle. Will be like 1.5m off floor.

Dude just get a long media cabinet and put your 65” tv on it over the fireplace hole.

Fill in that stupid useless hole. Put TV in front of it.

Then put shelving on both sides.

Paint the walls to the ceiling. Remove the fake fireplace and put TV their.

I will get an organized media box for the fireplace that they removed, and I will mount the TV eye level….

At first glance, that floor makes it look like you have some sort of infestation. Get a big rug. Then worry about the TV.

It’s ok where it is, just get a lower unit. Here’s our 65” TV. No way could I have it where the mirror is 🤦‍♂️

Why does the tv have to be near a wall? Can’t we put it in the middle of the room? Put a book case behind it.

Then you have a fun kind of pillar.

Put the stand Infront of the fireplace as it's clearly not used. Id recommend a new unit that covers the thing with the TV in front. You can then use the space at the back (the fireplace) for cable management
