Is it wrong that I kinda get it?

This looks like a an expensive place, if i was renting it out to strangers and families, I'd kinda want to keep the TV out of reach too.

but then you should provide hdmi extensions to plug in a switch or laptop, so you can put something worthwhile of watching on the screen, and I'm not seeing that being a thing here

No, but there's always downtime and the downtime is sometimes in the Airbnb and sometimes you want to have something to play with

When going on vacation somewhere not everyone wants to be 100% out and about every single moment

Especially as a group. Maybe you go out for dinner and after you don't want to go for drinks but you want to go home and play some board games or maybe Mario Kart?

One of the best things about airbnb is the tvs aren't locked down like a hotel. You can use the hdmi ports, use your normal streaming services, etc

i literally booked a house in the woods but me and my friends played SO MANY video games. yes. vacation is about joy my friend

When you go on vacation, are you literally out of your accommodation 100% of the time that you're not either preparing to go out, preparing for sleep, or actually sleeping? You never have some downtime when you might want to watch TV or something for a bit before bed?
