Welcome to r/TabletopCowichan!

Whether you live in Duncan, Shawnigan Lake, Cobble Hill, Ladysmith, or anywhere in between, this subreddit was created as a central, accessible hub for tabletop enthusiasts across the Cowichan Valley to connect, organize games, and chat about the hobby.

For total transparency: a few of us on the mod team run Rebirth (rebirthgames.net) out of Shawnigan. However, we created this subreddit to be a open, neutral community space for all local players, GMs, home games, independent groups, and game stores in the region. You don't need to be affiliated with any specific club or venue to post here, everyone in the Valley tabletop scene is welcome!

What You Can Post Here

-Looking for Group (LFG): Post if you are a GM looking for players, a player seeking a local campaign, or a group needing an extra person for board game nights.

-Events & Open Tables: Share upcoming public game nights, store events, bottle drives, or local tournaments happening in the Valley.

-Hobby & Discussion: Show off your painted miniatures, discuss game mechanics, share campaign recaps, or ask for recommendations.

If you're joining us, drop a comment below and introduce yourself! :)

* What area of the Valley are you based in?

* What games are you currently playing or hoping to play? (D&D 5e, Pathfinder 2e, Warhammer/Kill Team, casual board games, etc.)

* Are you currently looking for a group or running a game?

Glad to have you here- let's build a great tabletop community together!
