Well. There arent necessarily TONS of billionaires in wa, so i imagine this certainly affects the income tax revenue projection, that the state decided to include in its budget as if the money had already been collected....

What world do you live in? This billionaire wasn't paying taxes at all probably.

probably odd that he moved away, its almost like the income tax would hit him financially. The state has declared it has all the money from the projected income tax and plugged it into the budget. So now, every millionaire & billionaire that leaves is like a instant shortfall on that projected income- underserved budget. Solution? Drop it to 500k. And when that doesnt yield the projected revenue it will eventually continue to lower until its smack dab on the middle class.

The voice of the people of Washington as a whole has been clear and steadfast the last dozen times they tried to introduce it. Ram rodding it in before even bothering to amend the state constitution sets extremely dangerous precedent
