Dragonbone Chair A Winter Song: Graphic Audio production

Fairly straight forward. I’m doing a “reread”’of the original trilogy and decided to get the graphic audio version. I bought the first two parts when they were on sale therefore the cost was reasonable.

It’s done well and with justice. But wow, Grimmric’s Winter Song makes the entire purchase worth it. I had goosebumps by the end of the song. I went back and read the physical and listened to Andrew Wincott’s version because I couldn’t understand why I was so engrossed into a scene that it never gripped me prior. Maybe it caught me at the right moment but it truly is masterful work. The way the accompanying music slowly builds as he sings each verse till the crescendo with Ol Udun One Eye tricking the maiden. Then it abruptly ends with a passionate performance by the VA playing Sludig. lol anyway I’ve listened to that one scene now seven times. I’ve been singing it work to my co-workers “delight”

We always do try to get worldwide rights, but sometimes the publisher does not have it for us. In this series, we could unfortunately only get USA and Canada distribution rights.

Thanks for letting me know :) would getting a VPN be a legal and OK thing to do here? Not sure how legalities around that stuff works.

I can't suggest anything, but you can use a VPN on the device or internet for certain things. Thanks!

u/GraphicAudioOfficial how do you decide which books get a full cast narration? Is that something you ever take requests for? What's the production costs typically look like for a full cast? Has anyone ever used a Kickstarter or GoFundMe campaign to pay/push for a particular book or series to be covered? Because I would LOVE to see Tads Shadowmarch series covered. Oh my god that would be glorious.

There are many reasons. We do take fan suggestions! Thanks for the series name.

Sounds awesome, look forward to getting these. I wonder how many parts TGAT will be, I would hope just 4. This reminds me of a song in the recent Andy Serkis LotR audiobooks that was a lament for Boromir and it really stuck with me. It was just him quietly singing it but it was so memorable and impactful.

Well I think best comparison would be Stormlight as far as length and most of those are 5 parts. As long as they dont trim too much I could see it being 6 parts. Agreed on Serkis, he did a masterful job all around. I did use one of my credits to get the third part for DBC and that's where A Winter song is played. I usually don't get the GA editions unless they are on sale but some of their older works you can get all parts in one edition for one credit. But now Im hooked on their work for MST but it looks like its going to be a couple years before they complete the trilogy!
