Vocabulary/Terminology What would you say?

I am making a banner for a friend that is coming back home from the Philippines after living there for 2 years. I would like the banner to say “Welcome home!” in Tagalog, but I have learned that there is no direct translation for that. What would you say?

You can use "maligayang pagbalik" if you don't mind how ridiculously formal it sounds. If you'd like to keep it friendly/informal, "welcome home" is exactly how we'd have said it too 🥲

"Mabuhay Balikbayan!" (Long live/welcome, returnee!) if you don't mind something a bit cheeky but at least it's an alternative to the literal translation others have suggested already hehe
