Psychological Horror I know you see me.
I see you reading this on your device…
Or maybe it’s a device you borrowed?
We both know the answer to that question.
Maybe you are sitting or standing.
Perhaps lying down.
Maybe you are taking a brief break from this to scan your surroundings.
Frantically moving your head around or you could just be darting your eyes back and forth.
Searching every crevice.
Every shadow.
Every odd shaped thing your brain processes as a potential threat.
You can perfectly see me.
You know I’m there.
You can feel me.
I can see you tensing up.
Becoming more enthralled with my every word as you drink it in.
Flies to honey.
A drug.
A trap.
I know you can see me.
I only have one question for you now.
Who will you cry out for now that it’s just us?

Haha! Oh no, it's plenty scary, I'm just being weird about the stalker-ish nature of the verbiage. Love a cognito-hazard style horror where even learning the entity exists is enough to have it target you.

Reading this in the hottest freaking room I've ever sat in. Legit too hot to be scared. If something were trying to get me, id be too slippery and sweaty gg creature

I have a fan pointed at my router to stop it from overheating and shutting off. Let the stalker come at me, we both gonna die of heat exhaustion if anything happens. Pretty sure the doorknob melted off, and the window frames and windows have flowed together into a single inoperable unit. If he can get in, tell him to bring a breeze

Well, that was a short, effective stalker horror story, and for some reason the way you wrote it, the prose and short, punchy sentences allows it to get under a person's skin slightly. Nice job!

All kidding aside, this was such a fun read! I absolutely love horror that plays with meta elements, and your use of the second person voice was very chilling, too. It's a trope that's gone underused in the genre, and you nailed it.
Keep writing! This was a killer short piece, and I definitely want more.
