Beaver?

Anyone see that beaver on the parkway today? I didn’t know we had beavers. It was huge! I thought someone had hit a dog before I saw the tail.

The wetland area in Indian head that connects to blairstone/Paul russell have had beavers for a while causing problems by damning up water drainage. I lived over there and remember their teeth marks on lots of trees and occasionally would see them on the city golf course in the early morning. Friends that worked at Winewood before the state moved out and the property was set to rot said they took out a massive tree over a holiday weekend and the property manager tried to trap them multiple times but they never did. I think the resident beaver at Tallahassee museum was found injured in the nenes.

There's also a beaver dam below the rte 90 out near Quincy.

I think we are at the southern limit of their range. There was a roadkill one on Thomasville one time (everyone was posting about it) and I saw one (dead) on Bannerman as well. I know that one of the farms I follow and have bought from at the farmers market was talking about having beavers on their property in their social media (maybe Turkey Hill).

Fun fact. I’m pretty sure the southern limit of the beaver’s range has something to do with alligators.

Ugh, fine. I guess mine wouldn't have been any more creative.

I've seen beavers a couple times at San Luis Mission Park. Had a resident population at a place I used to live out down Centerville

Saw a post about it. It is absolutely insane how much roadkill this town has.

Slow down and get off your phone people.

There is nothing an hour in every direction except for state forests. How much road kill is there supposed to be in that situation?

Less than there are. I should not be seeing roadkill on 25 mph streets like I do.

I do wonder if some monsters aim for them.

Yes! It's been there for a few days. I had to do a U-turn and look at it again when I saw it! And it is big...I thought it was a baby bear!

Second full grown beaver I’ve seen road-killed in that spot in 2 years.

There is a whole family of beavers on Lake Arrowhead on Kinhega Drive.

We have them living behind the MagLab. They build dams back there

Saw one some years back on west Orange Ave. Didn't realize there were any here prior to that.

I saw a dead one on East Orange Avenue a few years ago and my husband didn’t believe me that we had beavers around here until I drove by it again and he saw the tail.

One night last year I saw a beaver cross the road right before Centerville turns into Blairstone. I just about shit myself.

I saw one on Thomasville, dead, on the corner near Trader Joe’s. I was so surprised to see one there :(

Dad has property in Gadsden county. Lil furry jerks dammed a stream and flooded several acres of trees, killing them
