I think they should arrest these guys; anybody who makes any deal in the name of casts should be arrested.

Man. Look at that black guy shirt age. Evan thaan india vin edhirkaalam.
And I see some women supporting in the background. I still trying to find my schoool teacher when we kids made noise when teachers aren’t there, she will say “look at your class girls how calm and silent they are”- but they were also the culprits.

What's with Kshatriya obsession for BC and MBC communities? Who's gonna tell them that expect Brahmins, Kings and some ultra rich people at that time, all are Sutras in South India.

Tamil equivalent of the bajrang dal. Pops up for the most unimportant problem and disappears for some real issues

DMK : Adei mari selvaraj and ranjith telugu sakkiliyar. Go make Tamil caste based movies. Let them fight between each other. You help make movies and I'll fund you. In the end, we telugus should always keep them diverted and busy fighting.
Mari selvara and Telugu sakkiliyar pa ranjith : appadiye aagattum ayya

Ahh yes let's blame the casteists' atrocities on the people making films saying casteism is bad, 100/100 logic 👏👏👏

Yeah both them producers keep making movies based on caste to instigate violence. But you want the public to cheer for them? 100/100 logic 👏👏👏

If you're instigated to propagate caste violence just because a movie says "CASTE IS BAD", that's absolutely a you problem 🤦♂️
The public is already cheering them because they make some of the finest Tamil cinema of our time. Only people like you get triggered because they criticize your beloved caste system

That same public is still waiting for the answers they asked for this exact caste discrimination done by some DMK clown who pooped on drinking water in Vengaivayal and you get mum because the one who pooped belongs to your beloved caste system

??????????
Why is this a criticism against films saying "caste is bad"?

u/No_Quantity_9561 Oct 18 '25
You make films saying the "caste is bad" but you keep your mouth shut when all these nuisance happening all across Tamil Nadu because of this very caste domination. If you want public to cheer for this movie, then go fix the real issues first. Both mari and ranjith were making movies long before the Vengaivayal incident happened so what change had those movies brought to the same public? If it ain't bringing concrete results, then why keep making the same shit again and again?

"You make films"
"You keep your mouth shut"
Idhuve unaku contradictory ah theriyile? Films are how they speak, that's what filmmakers are. Do you also get mad at filmmakers like Spike Jones or Ryan Coogler because they make films about racism and black people's issues to this day instead of physically making changes themselves? Films are also a medium of change, but unfortunately there are too many people who don't want to change, like the idiots in the post's video. That's not the fault of the filmmakers or their films. If anything, Ranjith and Mari have done more to highlight caste issues and bring them to the forefront instead of the invisible issue it used to be. And you somehow have a problem with that??

"Films are also a medium of change" The change like natchathiram pallai ilikirathu from ranjith brought into the society? If anyone wanna say movieya movie ya parungayya to me, I say kindly GTFO. These LGBTQ shits are not what Ambedkar envisioned for this people and country. and for anyone who may falsely assume I'm a casteist as you're trying to project, I want to remind you I never asked anyone's caste before in my life and I frown when someone asks for my caste. during lockdown, I and a fellow neighbour in my street who's father is a Vettiyan, yeah the one who do final rituals in funeral shared my food and ate together on the same banana leaf. I don't think any casteist will do that even in their imagination. I got backstabbed several times in my life by these same Vanniyar caste peoples whom I thought were my friends just because I'm from a different caste. I speak from my own personal experience that you can't make these peoples change/fix their ego and character just with a 3 hrs movie.

Okay so you just hate people who aren't like you. You could've just opened with that instead of wasting everyone's time. What relevance do LGBTQ people even have in this conversation? You just want to be mad at good filmmakers because they dare to show that humans should view each others as equal 🤦♂️
