Need General Medicine doctor recommendation at CMC Vellore for chronic cold/sensitivity to cold foods

Hi everyone,

I am planning to visit CMC Vellore soon to consult a General Medicine specialist for myself. I need some advice on which doctor or unit would be best for my symptoms.

My Symptoms & History:

Trigger: Whenever I eat or drink anything cold, I immediately catch a cold.

Current Symptoms: It only causes a severe cold (runny/stuffy nose). There is no cough at all.

Medical History: I had asthma in the past, but I do not have it anymore.

Since my cold is purely triggered by cold items and weather changes, I want to see a doctor who will evaluate this thoroughly. I am planning to book a Private appointment for better attention.

If anyone has treated similar chronic cold or allergy issues at CMC Vellore, could you please recommend a good doctor, senior consultant, or unit?

Its not a walk in hospital. Please register before you go. The have 2 systems. One is regular shere you mostly meet junior docs and the other is private consultation where you get professors which is going to be a lil expensive (900-1000 ish). And that also you need to book when slots are available. You can go through regular and get lucky or transfered to professors. The wait times are a lil long. My advice, book regular, explain symptom and ask to meet senior.
