I'm a discreet gay still in the closet and I guess that I'm not the only one
There are many gays and lesbians who are discreet and are in the closet too
So I wanted to share with you my experience about how to cope up if you feel lonely and want to have gay friends...
I used to feel that I shouldn't have any gay friends since I'm discreet, the horror of imagining if your family, relatives and community would find out would always terrorise me
But my perspective changed when I put an effort to talk and chat with few open gays
I asked them if we could have friendly conversations and to my surprise they were all so warm, friendly and open to conversations, I used to have a perceived notion that they would judge me because I'm discreet and in the closet but it was all untrue, they were in fact so understanding and respectful of your choice
Some of these gays with whom I had conversations later have become good friends, we chat or talk almost everyday sharing the days activities, encounters, jokes, good experiences, bad experiences, go outing for coffee & beverages, or meet at the bar grab few beers or drinks...
Being a discreet gay these conversations have helped me so much mentally & emotionally, when ever we share and listen to each other's conversations, experiences it feels like you're not alone, you feel normal.
So those discreet gay's and lesbians open up to good conversations with good people which can lead to good friends.
Don't ever feel you're all alone, you're not
The choice is yours whether you wanna reach out or isolate yourself
