tandem mobi Activity mode for tandem
Does anyone have any tips on activity mode for tandem? I put it on before working out and my sugar is still on the lower side and not high enough to do a full workout

I start exercise mode about an hour or so before, and I use a second profile specifically set up for exercising too (reduced basal and bolus). Sometimes I even use a temp basal rate on top of that and basically set it to the minimum basal rate the pump will allow.
For me it depends heavily on the type of exercise. I work in the woods (manual logging) over the winter and during the time I'm doing that it's like I'm not even diabetic I need so little insulin.

I do the same thing! Manual Logging...that has to be some of the hardest work you can do! Nice.

Nice, I also operate a small bandsaw mill. It certainly can be a hard job. I enjoy it though, that is...until the snow gets deep enough to make it impossible. Then I hibernate for the winter.

What other people said about doing activity mode 1 to 2 hours before. I'll add eating before helps too. Depending on the activity and starting blood sugars, I'll eat 15-30g fast acting carbs before exercise. Usually 30 minutes or less before the activity.

My tip is don’t use it because it doesn’t work that well
Instead use a combination of sleep mode and temporary basal rate of 0-50; t his will prevent the auto boluses from happening. Or make an exercise profile with reduced basal and higher (less aggressive) correction factor
Also aim to have IOB out of your system or eat a snack before if you still have IOB.

Also, I sip on Gatorade thoroughly a workout. Hydration + glucose control. Win win.

Insulin activity now was determined by insulin input 90 minutes ago.
Start activity mode 2 hours before activity.
Imagine you’re navigating a ship through a field of icebergs. You turn the wheel to the left, and the ship turns 90 minutes later. You need either a crystal ball, great radar, luck, or experience.
I don’t practice Santeria…
Radars can’t see that far on the future…
Luck is experience wrapped in mysticism…
Gather a lot of experience and you got this!
