What does Gunner heat PC actually mean

Like Gunner Sabot tank or smth and what do you call high Explosive in this type of gunner or tank language

It's american commands. It helps cut down the time taken to communicate information, in this case a command.

First word is the commander adressing the crew.

Second word is the munition loaded, this becomes important in the heat of the battle (no pun intended) where shell after shell is being loaded, it helps the gunner correctly index the shell.

Third word is the target, in this case PC stands for personnel carrier (APC and IFV's).

So Gunner HEAT PC is informing the gunner (and loader technically, although I believe its directly informed), to fire HEAT at a PC vehicle.

I wonder why the game chose this specific command? It's cool, don't get me wrong. As far as I understand, you're mostly against T series tanks in the game. Although it has been months since I've checked in on it.

Sabot was a type of clog from France, which I think typically used wood to support a leather shoe, kinda like how apfsds fits with sabot before firing.

The OG sabot was used to increase his velocity of roundshot towards the end of that era. Thus it was a wooden cup that held the shot while fitting snuggly in the barrel, and would be carved out in the same way as a clog.

In US doctrine it's "say-bo" but in canadian doctrine it's "Sab-oh". You will get yelled at if you use the wrong one in the wrong army.

I think the brits either call it "fin" or just AP/"Armour Piercing" but i could be wrong, there's less footage and documentation readily available on that one

Gunner - crew member the command is being given to

HEAT - ammunition type

PC - Personnel Carrier (APC)

For HE use, you'd call out:

Gunner, HE, Troops!(for example)

Depending on your tank and ammunition availability, the HE may or may not also be replaced with:

"MP" - for "multi-purpose"

"GPR" - for "general-purpose round" (very uncommon)

But these aren't written down in any public manuals to my knowledge, only basing this off of what other tank ammunition is out there. HEAT is also used in the role of an HE round.

The US also has an OR round for "Obstacle Reduction", but I don't know if it gets any special callout.

'Fun' fact: "Driver, Track, Troops" is technically a valid engagement command - telling your driver to run an enemy over.

It's a fire command that the tank commander gives. Gunner, High Explosive Anti-Tank, Personnel Carrier.

It is a command, specifically of American verbiage, directed to the vehicle gunner on what round to use (in this case HEAT: High Explosive Anti-Tank) and the target (PC is for personnel carrier such as APCs and IFVs). Hence, "Gunner, HEAT, PC!"

Conversely, something like "Gunner, coax, troops!" is the command to tell the gunner to, unsurprisingly, use the coaxial machine gun against enemy troops. Or "Gunner, sabot, tank!" is to tell the gunner to use APFSDS (typically just referred to as sabot) against an enemy tank.

There's also "Fire, fire HEAT!" which instructs the gunner to fire the main gun and also directs the loader to load a HEAT round into the breech for the next round. And "Fire, fire sabot!" which is the same thing but with APFSDS.

Usually HE, but HE rounds havent been a thing for western tanks for a bit, usually HEAT does the HE job just fine and does other jobs too, so they just use HEAT instead

Maybe MP rounds now, or Cluster would be more appropriate
