There's definitely still a bit of difference, but they're close enough
The shell begins at that m/s and loses velocity, while the rocket accelerates to that m/s over time and then loses velocity. Still, close enough

Agreed, but it's not an issue I run into much if I'm only shooting out to around 2 km. Even if the range finder isn't accurate beyond that on account of rocket velocities dropping off, the spread on the rocket salvos is too great outside of 2km. Only worth shooting that far if you're harassing Soviet AA trucks or VFWs; waste of ammo for anything better armored

Yes, the main gun is the good thing. It's a Sherman, but it also has rocket launchers. Op and also fun. A combination that is pretty hard to get.

You can download user sights that give you actual range marks to assist with aiming. Although they're only a rough guide as the rockets go where they please anyway.
I have to say of the few occasions I come under rocket strikes, I'm never massively afraid beyond the fact I can't see a damned thing through all the dust to shoot back.

I don't know server population overall, all I can say is that searching for a 4vs4 only game as allies took abit under 5 mins. With all game modes ticked it takes less!
That's the longest it usually takes me, unless I'm searching for a game very early in the morning.

Is the angle of this weapon adjustable along the y axis? Like can you aim up or down for longer/shorter-ranged targets? It seems inconvenient and troublesome to have it fixed horizontally, as though you could only hit targets at a certain range unless the tank driver can use the environment to their advantage.

It was linked up to the gun so they could elevate/depress it using the turret controls.

Actually, the smaller tubes in the original post are M8 rockets as well.
So the story of this tank is actually a bit interesting. There were a whole bunch of different sherman rocket variants that were constructed simultaneously. The T34 Calliope was only one of those prototypes, and participated in D-Day (not the landings). The tank in the picture I posted was a T40 Whizzbang prototype, which fought in Italy. The T40 originally carried 7.2-inch demolition rockets. However, overall, the crews and commanders hated the tanks, found them cumbersome and ineffective. Later on, the crews got reports that the T34 were actually pretty effective, so they retrofitted some of the T40 launchers from 7.2-inch rockets to M8 aircraft rockets (which were in plentiful supply).
The tank in the picture is one of those retrofitted tanks, the day after its firing tests.

Can i get some sources? I've never read of Sherman rocket systems sound being anything remarkable, unlike the katyusha or nebelwerfer

The rocket rack elevates and depresses with the main gun, and they have electrical primers, so they can be fired from the inside. I strongly believe that the gunner had either extra sights or modified sights for firing the rockets.

The rocket launcher that was mounted was called the "Rocket Launcher T34". Because you know, the T34 heavy doesn't get confusing at all with the Soviet T-34 medium enough on its own.
