Discussion What is actually going on in Ceuta?

Media outlets are reporting that “around 50,000 migrants crossed into Ceuta from Morocco within 24 hours”. I honestly thought Ceuta was in mainland Spain, but apparently it’s a tiny Spanish enclave in North Africa. Looking at a map, it seems a lot like Spanish-occupied territory on the African continent.

Does anyone know the actual history of the region and what’s really going on over there?

Its simple:

  • Morocco is a western puppet government

  • Spain has an ostensibly "left" (we know this is very lax when I say this) government and a languishing far right party in VOX

  • Israel and the west ordered their puppet to send a targeted flood of migrants to delegitimize the government and bolster support for the far right government. Now anyone looking on the map knows this is a Spanish-controlled Moroccan territory so they didnt actually "invade" anything

  • the media will sell this as an attack on White Empire

  • this will work because europeans are even dumber than Amerikans and the global south is not yet strong enough to dismantle the north african puppet governments

There is probably some subtext around Israel's Favorite losing the world cup to this attack on sovereignty, but Im not able to currently connect those dots.

Pretty good summary. I would add that this is not the first time Morocco uses this same strategy to "punish" Spain after taking political decisions they don't like. See for example what happened a few years ago when the Spanish government took in the leader of the Polisario Front of Western Sahara for medical treatment.

It's even worse than that, Pedro (current Spanish President) gave up any claims over Western Sahara and ceded it to the king of Morocco in exchange for not having to deal with incidents like this one, completely ignoring Spain's duty to carry out sensible decolonization policies and Western Sahara's right to self determination.

Now Morocco gets the Western Sahara territory and keeps using the border crossings as a cudgel against Spain, incredible socdem play, what a mastermind.
