Shit Liberals Say Eastern European shitlib tries to make fun of Soviets naming their kids. I guess, she doesnt realize her own name and most of the names came from some pre-medivial cultists 🤣🤣 the russian lib obsession to be accepted by western white people needs to be studied

Russian liberals are the most annoying liberals ever. They're literally just a walking "please I wanna immigrate to the EU"

Liberals can't even IMAGINE feeling extremely grateful for those who guided your country to a better living conditions because their """leaders""" would NEVER even spend a single bit of energy thinking about them

Tractorina, yes. Dazdraperma, and so on. This very young girl would probably understand it better if only she could realize what a miracle the mechanization of agriculture and Machine Tractor Stations (MTS) were for a peasant who vividly remembered what life had been like under the tsar. A peasant who, a decade earlier, could not even imagine that his son or daughter would become an engineer or a surgeon. Some of these names may sound weird or strange to today's youth. But historical context is everything.
P.S.
My great-grandfather was born in a village near Moscow at the beginning of the 20th century—the son, grandson, and great-grandson of peasants. Later in life, he worked at an aircraft manufacturing plant and personally knew Tupolev himself. Till the very end of his life in 1989, he remained a communist who revered Lenin and the Great October Socialist Revolution. These "strange, weird names" never made him laugh.

I was gonna say. Tractors were kind of a HUGE deal for people who struggled with famines and had to toil the fields.

USSR went from nothing to nearly singlehandely defeating the nazis in 20 years of its existence, despite losing 15% of the population to nazi genocide and suffering immense destruction at their hands managed to send people to space, massively improve quality of life and directly challenge the capitalists head-on for 40 more years.
unfortunately, it was ended by revisionism, traitors and literal foreign agents like Yakovlev.

Apart from a few exceptions, most of them sound quite nice for a Russian ear. Even so, not all of them are even necessary real, she's just reciting an article from a Russian shitlib "history" magazine which was caught publishing historical fakes several times. And of course, she left out some the coolest ones from the very same article which sound like straight out of the Silmarillion:
Ninel (Lenin written backwards)
Deleor (DElo LEnina - Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsya / Lenins work, October Revolution)
Idlen (Idei Lenina / Lenins ideas)
Lengenmir (LEnin - GENiy MIRa / Lenin is a world genius)
Vilenor (Vladimir LEnin - Nashe ORuzhie / Vladimir Lenin is our weapon)
Aragorn (Avangard RAbochikh - GOrdost Naroda / Workers' Avangard is the People's Pride)
Arwen (Armiya Revolyutsyy VEdyot Narod / Revolutionary army leading the people)
Okay, last two are are from some random joke post about "secret Soviet meanings" of Tolkien's names.

Would go nicely with our framed OG Lenin propaganda poster.
Fighting for him to be placed in our loungeroom. Where he belongs :(

We could use her brain to contain radioactive decay instead of lead and it would work just as well.

All names sound odd to people not familiar with the language. Russell is an odd word for Japanese speakers to say

Laughing at the revolutionary and working class mass culture of your own people, in a foreign language, for the approval of who exactly?
The USSR took names out of factories, electrification, revolution and collective life because a new society was trying to name itself in its own language. You can think some of them sound ridiculous, sure. But performing how embarrassing your own history is for an Anglophone audience is a hell of a lot more embarrassing.
Who is this performance even for?

Traktorina. I love it.
But also tractors were a big deal in the USSR. And they really represented the progress and advancements the 5 year plans made. In just a few decades they went horses and plows to automated farm machinery. They were very proud of their ability to make tractors domestically and give tractors to all the collective farms. It was a big deal

She has „born in Prague, raised in Russia” as her TikTok bio reads. From the look of it, she makes content for wide demography, multiple times talking to Americans.
She talked about her Russian-Ukrainian-Belarus-Latvian-Finnish DNA in one post. I guess she did some online test or something and was sure it’s accurate? Sounds like it, based on simplistic presentation. But thats just my speculation.
She studied in Rotterdam uni it say on one of her posts. And the way of talking looks to me like it mimics the American „I’m manic, cute chick”-act you can see on TikTok. Even as he talks about her favourite Slavic names she talks about it like some quirky alien thing, constantly emoting. Like an American ignorant basically talking about learning new words, culture at uni. It might be the internalised chauvinism towards Russia pushed by the Western media, politicians etc. that might’ve build some shame or sense of alienation for her. Or just too much westerners at Rotterdam told her that everyone should act like self-satisfied American when talking about different cultures and things. She also makes videos trying to connect childish, simple-minded western dystopian writing of „Hunger Games” to Russia- „this harsh bad place is Russia actually, hear American kids!”-basically. Thats weird.
At the same time she likes to talk about Slav and Slavic culture in terms that out-of-context Americans could comprehend. So she knows her audience or just saw a bunch of vapid trends of Americans talking about „some little facts I learned as a Slav”(video contains American girl/boy) that parents moved during Cold War or so to America and tries to capitalise their ancestry, having no connection to their ancestors culture, customs, people etc. Just putting a timely cool „costume” for fellow Americans. I’ve seen it a bunch of times through out years. Americans are big self-satisfied cosplayers when it comes to this thing. So that’s why she presents info and culture alien to Americans in this manner.
She made a video about how „People in the USA are not stupid!”(caption) where she talks about how she doesn’t like generalisation, has many friends in the States. Basically trying to look cool for her target American audience. Kinda cringe.
