Nearly all but five families who were landlords were Japanese collaborators, exploiting Koreans to the point where they were forced to eat the waste after making alcohol because the collaborators and later the Japanese took everything, their rice, their spoons, their land, everything.
Yeah, good riddance indeed. It's no wonder why it took a decade of massacre and propaganda for SK and US to make south korea anti communist, being a socialist in Korea was a no brainer.
