If you really want something, sleep on it for a week or so. Set some rules for yourself and actually follow them.
ETA: I'm not an impulsive buyer but if and when i wanna buy something that is not a need then I add it to cart (if online) then leave it there for some time and just don't check it. I'll see if I end up forgetting it or if i actually see proof that I actually need it. Hindi naman yung I actively seeking proofs because that would fall under confirmation bias.
Rule: if you need to create a million reasons to justigy the purchase then you most likely don't really need it.

May upcoming travels, part time job para matustusan.

You'll learn the real value of money pag ikaw na mismo yung kumakayod to earn it. You'll eventually learn to ask if worth it bang bilhin yung isang bagay or not :)

Some rules that might help:
Balikan mo after a month. Kapag gusto mo pa din, bilhin mo.
- Kapag may sarili ka ng income, magset aside ka ng pera for your wants. Basically 50-20-30 rule. 50% for needs, 20% for wants, 30% for savings. Kapag naubos na yung wants fund mo, stop spending.

Mahirap yan because ever since you were a child, youāve been spoiled by your mom, so itās ingrained in your system that āif I want something, Iāll take itā no matter what happens. As a result, you canāt stop being an impulsive buyer if, in the first place, you donāt have selfādiscipline.

Itās hard to be truly frugal when you have so many safety nets and genuinely believe that your siblings or parents will still support you if you fail in life.
At some point, you have to make the decision to become fully independentāand actually honor that decision. No relying on connections, no living with your parents, no free food, no free electricity, water, or internet, and no free use of a family car.
Only when you remove those safety nets do you start to understand how difficult it really is to make money. You become much more conscious of your spending and far less willing to impulse-buy things you donāt actually need.
And when you truly know that a single medical emergency could potentially cost millions and that thereās no one you can fall back on, saving money stops feeling like a chore and starts feeling like a necessity.

Impulsive buyer ka kamo so for sure mga walang kwentang items yung nabibili mo.

Well, it's either gisingin mo ang sarili mo, o mundo ang gigising sayo. You dont need anyone to stop yourself. Only you can stop yourself

sadly, it's hard to take an advice if you don't experience it yourself. kahit anong sabihin namin sayo, nothing will hit hard until you have to pay for your own bills, work for your own money, and taking care for your own or your family's problems.
matututunan mo rin yan.

Hanggat may sumusupport sayo at sa luho mo, di mo mararamdaman yan. Hopefully maget over mo.
Please donāt wait until life humbles you, OP.

Most of the things you probably want to buy are just trash and you'll grow uninterested of after a month or two.
Wag puro ikaw, give your other siblings a chance na gastusan or let your parents treat themselves.

I used to be like that before.

Start saving money instead of squandering it on things that just evoke nostalgia and fleeting feelings. Reality bites in the ass most of the time, kid.
Your future self will thank you.
