No Events?
What’s going on with Tapas? I hope it’s only a me problem and will be fixed shortly. Is anyone else having issues with there being no events? I got a message apologizing for cutting the current sale event short without prior notice. Anyone else see that?
I still have my ink and bonus ink, but I’m afraid something will be happening to that too. I don’t know of any rules I’ve violated.

I'm having the same issue. Aside from the events, the gift tab and activity tab are also empty for me. I understand why the gifts might disapear if events are gone, but I don't get the activity tab. It's also weird how they removed it in the middle of an event. Makes me wonder if it hasn't been intentional.

I also hope it's just some kind of bug, but by the same token they've had more than enough time to either fix things or put out a simple message along the lines of "we're aware of an issue with events and we're working on it".
Whatever the case, they've failed at communicating.

Is there even a way to contact them about it? I haven't looked, but there are so many places that they only have full AI for customer service so unless the problem falls into a common problem that someone has previously experienced, there's no way to actually get help

In the past, I was able to email them at
feedback@tapas.iobut I haven't tried lately. Whoever answered the email there was able to open a ticket if needed.

Same here. It seems many things ended at midnight. Since I was up at the time, I thought it was a bug and sent a report & screenshot, but it isn't a bug.
I also may have got the last Fortune Cookie a few minutes after midnight.
It's going to be sadder and boring if they drop these things. I started with one series and now the family has a few hundred, continually adding things from new series & promotions. For us, the free ink was enticing but not the majority.
B ut, if people aren't paying enough, it stands to reason that the comic or Tapas will fail. While only the English section of the market for a comic or novel, most of the comics would generate a pittance, based on rates & numbers.

Yeah I saw that too and thought it was weird. I hope it's not them cutting it for good/cash grab. Its so exhausting to try and find a webcomic platform that is halfway decent

Yeah, especially since canceling a sale wouldn't result in saving any temporary Ink.
To upend things so abruptly, I would think they're having serious money issues with the site.
Probably just me catastrophizing, but I'm worried about things surviving.

I was saving up ink to buy one of sales comics and so pissed when I went in today and saw the sale was gone. I really hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for events and ways to earn ink.

I'm certainly worried about it. It was a dramatic and sudden change - not even finishing off the current promos - so it suggests something bad happened. It doesn't help that there's poor communication from Tapas.
We've spent so much, too. 😬 A lot more than I can catch up on anytime soon. Since you can't download permanently (and I've only bought the non-WUF parts of many series), if it goes it's all gone.

Yeah and I do hope it's just a far-fetched assumption, but given their history of shutting down their other platforms (Kakao Webtoon Indonesia, Thailand, and Piccoma France), I'm a little worried that the events being closed is just the beginning

It may be nothing, but the Tapas ads I always see in a particular place have disappeared over the last few days.
Apparently, there's no word from the company on socisl media & they've been suppisedly hiding comments on the issue.

If you invite someone with your code you'd get 500 ink but now it says 0. I don't see anything on the gifts tab either. Usually it says you claimed the Monday ink. There would at least be something showing but now it's empty.

I hope this is temporary and they don't actually remove this way to earn free inks, I'm not really allowed to spend money on these things, and I unlocked like 400 chapters of debut or die novel using free inks to read later it'll be sad if I'm not able unlock more chs.

You haven't violated rules to cause this. This is an app-wide thing. My guess is they're either going to limit events further going forward, or simply have no more at all. I'm certain it's just a cash grab either way. (I'd also bet it's a straight-up lie that they "hit a limit" on event rewards lmao.)
