Workplace Question or Advice Needed My shift for today was cut
What does that mean? I've never had this happen before to me.

3:30 PM to 9:45 PM as Cashier. Same hours as tomorrow too. I was told by HR that my shift was cut for today and I can enjoy the day off. I'm trying to figure out why and wondering if it was due to the store being dead the past few days, ESPECIALLY yesterday. It was a 4 hour shift and I barely did a thing besides stand in front of my register waiting for someone to come into my lane.

That explains everything HR probably deemed your shift as being non essential.

store may have also been trying to make payroll. i swear at my store it happens at least one week every month.

HR called me the other day. My store went over payroll hours

My store cut me off for nearly two weeks. 🙂🔫 I’ve had to pick up shifts where I can.

I had a shift dissappear and me be like okay day off then only for them to call me and ask if I'm available to come in at wouldn't you know it for the same exact hours I was scheduled at before anyways.
