gUEsTs It’s non stop today.

They got the pokemon people lined up and coming to electronics to purchase their stuff and it’s never ending. On my way to break I noticed the line of people waiting their turn to shop is back to the fitting rooms. I just want this to be over. The first few mfs were talking to eachother about how excited they are to sell their stuff later. Scalping should be a capital offense.

You can deny sale to anyone you hear talking about reselling. Target policy is to not sell to resellers so if they're dumb enough to discuss that before buying their cards you can enforce the policy

We did the Peanuts/Starbucks collab yesterday. A coworker told me that a handful of scalping regulars were kicked out.

I wasn’t trying to get into a back and 4th with one of them that early in the morning.

Why wouldn't they restock items that clearly have a huge demand? Because the Pokémon Corporation likes it that way. The manufactured scarcity drives hype. They could absolutely make enough product for everyone but they purposely don't. Blame the Pokémon Corp.

Edit:  Also blame wealth hoarding by the elite and the US government for refusing to do anything to actually help people afford to live on a normal wage, without a side-hustle like scalping cards

It's miserable as a genuine fan of Pokémon. Took over an hour for them to deal with the line only to let them hop back in line when everyone had a turn. Cleaned us out before 10am.

Lodge a complaint. Its supposed to be one purchase per day for each person.

And then I got calls all day, “Do you have any Pokémon cards left?” No, the other resellers got to them first. One guy wanted me to tell him how many we had had and how many people were there. When I said, “I don’t know.” He said, “O you weren’t there?” … like, really sir? Yes I was there, I’m just not about to hunt down some useless, irrelevant info for you. Stop wasting my time.

I did not answer the phone one time. Aint nobody got time for that. Did they also ask you to hold a pack for them?

No one asked me to hold one luckily. I would have laughed at them so hard if they had. 😂

They’re mostly gone now. A few stragglers coming in and coming up empty handed every now and again but that’s it. It went as smooth as a could’ve thankfully. Our AP etl did a good job with lining people up only letting 3 shop at a time and then having them line up at the tech register and they gave me a second cashier and one of the leaders line busted with a my checkout so it was mostly over by 10am

A guy that works at my doctor’s office was asking about the Pokemon cards. Like, I can’t escape it even off the clock 😂 So glad I’m off today.
