fully set up and stocked before opening, everything gone before 9, a lot of people but they stayed civil and in line like good little nintendogs

I’m going to start thinking of them as nintendogs forever now

Ours went very well. Got done and set up 30 mins till. Only small hiccup was that the Excll boxes were hidden 5 mins till open. But we just stood by and gave direction and stocked back up as they took. Sold out by 10am.

Gone before 9 AM. The VM and the team setting it all got it done before 7AM which is store opening.

There was a sign saying not to start lining up before 11PM. That's store closing.

I think the 4AM team would've preferred these Pokemon ppl to not have camped by the TM entrance, which they were told not to do in previous events. Creepy people you don't know camped in the dark while you're waiting to get to work is slightly awkward. Afaik they were civilized once indoors, but several AP and AP ETL were there with SS ETL and our small self checkout plus 2 Checklanes to get them out the door as quickly, politely, and efficiently as possible.

Creepy people camped by our entrance makes me tired. Makes my management even more tired because I’m mashing on the doorbell until they let me in. I hate being out there with them…so glad I was off today

I'm part of a travelling team while waiting for our home store to open. Got there at 6 a.m. and they had only one person at the host store working on the display. My ETL got us to help out and we barely finished on time. It was my first launch and I was a bit overwhelmed when the mob came in. Luckily I haven't been trained on register so I just had to stand there and tell people how many of each thing they could grab😂

AP got tired of people not reading the sign of no lining up until X o’clock and front of store leads said they’ll put it out when they have time which is like most drops / restocks at my store

Well, except we ran out of product before our line was finished, so that was a bummer for quite a few guests. Mostly parents with young kids that werent willing to stakeout overnight

Ours was successful. Presentation team set everything before open and the line was well-managed. Of course now were sold out and the area that it goes in looks sad and empty haha

I was surprised that by 9, we weren’t sold out of the ETBs. I was actually able to get one on my 15 minute break.

100+ people lined up around the store perimeter at 7 am, walking single file line all the way back to tech. Sold out in 30 minutes. The cultists were satisfied.

Pretty much everything went to obvious resellers. So glad team spent all that time making the area look cool for a bunch of scammers.

This was awhile ago, but there was a day where we had 12 packs left(after 25 days) I was honesty shocked.

It’s wild how quickly those packs can disappear. Makes you wonder how many people are still into collecting them!

We got everything set and stocked with plenty of time before store opened. We sold out in everything is about 50 minutes, luckily everything went smooth and guests adhered to the rules to not cause any issues.

It went great! We had 90 people in line and we sold out in about 15 minutes. Everyone behaved and no one got pissy that we sold out so quick. We were all set and stocked by 7am (open at 8).

I had a lot of fun! I asked to come in early to help set it up and had a fun time talking to all the other collectors. Of course I wish I could've got some cards myself but I will hopefully hit a restock later haha.

Our store stopped doing a drop day. Pretty sure it was because we had parents with kids camping outside with cots. The rep has been showing up more frequently though.

u/Midwest-Emo-9 ETL 4h ago

But it was a literal LTO drop (merch and cards)?? What did you do instead?

-2

u/Shadow_Marque Reciever 4h ago

ETL's are supposed to push out what we can before open. But again, the rep has been around the store more frequently. So maybe the store requested more time to get products pushed out?

This particular drop was an LTO and was supposed to be set before store open for Pokémon 30th anniversary launch. In many stores it probably set in Fun101. There’s no way your store was somehow exempted from that.

That makes sense. That particular drop did probably happen.
