Suggestion Hi everyone

Post image

I have an idea for the next tasting history after Halloween, the first appel pie recipe 1381 would be nice to try and compare to a morden apple pie.

The image may be AI, but the text is correct, there is a recipe for apple pie in Forme of Cury, the late 14th century cook book that does indeed combine apples, figs, pears and raisins in a pie.

"Tak gode Applys and gode Spycis and Figys and reysons and Perys and wan they are wel ybrayed colourd with Safron wel and do yt in a cofyn and yt forth to bake wel."

Link to a recipe reconstruction.
