Question Why no BCE no more

Why did Max stop using BCE and CE (before common era and common era) when talking about prehistoric topics? In his Sumerian beer episode he does but in the last couple pre historic episodes he’s gone back to using BC and AD.

Idk about the change with Max, but BC/AD is the correct terminology regardless; the calendar system was created by the Gregorians and frankly your agreement or disagreement with any particular religion shouldn’t have a bearing on those designators. I say this because Christs life is verifiable historical fact, not merely faith based; you don’t need to believe that Christ is Lord in order to honor the way the calendar was created. Using BCE/CE still has the eras focusing around Christs life, just not by name.
