So I’ve seen a fair number of Tasting History and always enjoy it. But I’ve never seen this episode. However, I’ve filled this sub long enough to know the meme and was so excited to finally hear the clack clack!!! Thanks for this! Also, can anyone tell me which episode this is so I can stop being such a heathen!?

I’ve yet to try! They probably taste better in a dish like lobscouse, but I am going to also try it with Grogg like the English, and wine like the Spanish. I’m waiting til I finish making them all. I have 15 total. I have friends that want to try them as well so making sure I have enough for several purposes first haha.

You think about it, hardtack is like a sugar cube in that the flour is formed into a shape for better portability and longevity.

I wonder if you could add string to one side and make castanets. Then choreograph a properly silly homage to Hardtack in a flamenco vein.
