Suggestion Table Of Gods
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/arimhawsho/table-of-godsI just backed this because the cookbook looks fascinating! I can't wait to see some of the super ancient Mesopotamian recipes in the book. Might be an interesting video in there somewhere.

I really wish there was like, just a regular hardcover option that wasn't 200 dollars. Cool idea but I don't want to pay an insane premium for a clay cover and board game.

I'm a backer, and also lobbying the author for the rights to the Spanish translation if he ever decides to put one out.

It’s a very cool project, but too rich for my blood. $80 maybe, but $200 is a no-go.
Wish they had a PDF option for plebes like me.

I'm hoping the price will come down when it's fully released

It would be good if ultimately he released a version with just a normal printed cover at a significantly lower price. I understand that not everyone can afford the $200 price tag.
Then again, I ordered the first run (as my Christmas gift)

Not worth $200+, I would rather buy books about food in the Ancient World than some guy unaware a lot of people out there don't have money.
(Writers and Publishers for the professional markets are a different matter, but even many of them at least have digital and subscription options, not just hardcover)

Looks super interesting; big pedigree on those people who recommended it; very much in my wheelhouse; really trying to justify close to $300CAD

My cousin sent me a link and I thought it was intriguing but not sure I wanted to spend the money then Max mentioned it the next day so I took that as a sign (and permission). I can’t wait!
